Hello everyone!
I have been in and out lately. Been extremely busy and thought I would post an update. I received my second denial letter about a week ago. I am somehow ok with it this time. I refuse to give up! I have been instructed by my drs and insurance to do the 6mos supervised weight loss. I will do that and resbumit in February/early March. I am also going to submit an appeal. I am not going to let it get me down. I have been still coming here and keeping up as much as I can. Since school started and sports stared back up it has been mayhem at out house. But, I love it. My kids are happy, I am surviving, all is well. I will continue my journey with all the support here and keep cheering all of you on. .
Thanks for the support. Keep on keeping on!!!! Ya'll are great. It helps to know that others are going through or have gone through similar things.

I know this is really hard on you....b/c we've struggled with our weight our whole lives it feels like it will never go away. I know you had your hopes up that this would work out. It's still not over for you. I love your doctors suggestion about the 6 month doctor directed diet. Don't miss a month...go every month - keep a journal of the foods you eat...how you are doing emotionally...etc. My Dr. used all of this info...and also said I was severely depressed. I would've said at the time that he added this for effect - but on this side of loosing I see that mostlikely I was depressed ALL last year. I'd also suggest that you look into if your surgeon will cut you a break if you pay out of pocket.

I know there is another pre-op here...(Mr. Mel) and he is struggling with getting approved too!

MSMom, good to see you, I was wondering how you were doing.
It's taking a lot of patience, I know, but if it's meant that you need the surgery, it will happen! Good thing that your dr is with you all the way.

I am sorry to hear that it wasn't the result you wanted, but hope that you do persevere and get the surgery in the end.

thank you guys!!! I am going to keep on keeping on. I have such a busy schedule right now with kids and all, I don't have time to sit and dwell. I know it will happen I just have to be patient.

I'm sorry you got another rejection letter. I know it can be discouraging. Just keep your head up and know that everyone here is going to support you. Just let us know what we can do to help.
