5' 6" Height: | Hey all. I'm having a hard time and need to share. While on vacation I booked a party over the phone for 30 ppl this Sunday. I met with the woman 2 nights ago and found out that it is now for 85ppl in her house. There are lots of add-ons that are making me crazy and all I can think about is eating!!! I guess it's because that is what I have always ran to when I was feeling pressure. This feeling scares me because I thought I was learning to "deal" with the emotional stuff and I thought that I had more control. I know that everyone is different with their timing on head issues. I'm thinking maybe I better stay away from my chosen field (chef) until I get it together more. Any thoughts? Am I being a whimp? What did all you more experienced WLS vets do when ever you end up in this bad part of town? I just want to get through this head thing. Recovery is the most important thing to me. Ohhhhh I feel so much better. My new mantra is "recovery is the most important thing to me." Thanks for listening. Kat

| Super Moderator | Awwwww, Kat, ((((((((HUGS))))))))) The first thing you need to do, is give your client a big kick in the @** Of course you aren't a wimp, your reaction is quite normal. Who wouldn't go bonkers when you thought you needed to deal with a certain number of people, and suddenly find out that you're going to have to deal with almost 3 times that. If that happened to me--if I were told I was to see 30 patients coming in for a check up, and suddenly find out that I'm going to have to see 85, of course I'll get my het up, and complain and boo hoo still everyone around me will feel like running away, and think, I'm not going to work for that guy again. That said, post whenever you feel the pressure, and I also suggest that you journalize. Journalize everything, what makes you feel good, what makes you feel bad, what makes you feel happy, what makes you feel sad. Just writing down the words make you feel better, and in control of yourself. Not easy to control your environment, but you can make choices and control your actions. Good luck with the party, I'm sure despite all the stress, you will make it a success. ((((((((HUGS)))))))

Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | WOW.... I can only imagine...how this is making you feel... Thankfully I haven't been under that kind of "work stress" since my surgery. But, I'm with Doc....that client is NUTS!! Keep your chin up...don't worry...you'll make it thru...I'm praying for you friend. I also agree with Doc about journaling...even just how you feel better after posting...journaling is the same...it lets you get out the feeling you are having instead of eating... You are doing soooo great Kat...good luck with your client's party...

5' 6" Height: | Thanks guys. Your right about the journaling thing. It really helped to re-center myself. I can see now that comeing down from the "high" of vacation and back to reality also contributed to this feeling of being out of control. The party just made the eruption come sooner then later. xoxoxo, Kat

5' 6" Height: | OK. I lived through the weekend. The party turned out very well and I met some potential clients. I also got to work with some new people and we all got along like we had known each other for years. It was actually fun, even though by the time I got home last PM I felt like I had been run over by a train LOL. They were even taking pictures of us so when I get them, I will post them. Thanks for the support. It sure helped. I love you guys! Kat
