Default Doc Visit

I went to see my surgeon today, he wanted to see me now because of having the radiation treatment over the summer and I was not supposed to lose weight and all that great stuff..lol.. Anyway, he was very happy with my labs I did have one of my cbc readings were just a tad low but he said everything else looked good so he wasnt to worried about it. I have not lost much weight but I have lost inches my summer pants are coming off closed..I deff need to get a new pair. I have lost ten lbs since I was there this summer so at least it is something. He was worried there may be a problem because of my weight loss slowing but with my labs looking good and only being this far out from the radiation I have only started feeling better the past few weeks actually. So I am going to put my nose to the grind stone and work on losing another twenty by January so it will be easier for my hip replacement. I have an appointment with my doc on Thursday to discuss changing my thyroid meds a bit, he denied me over the phone saying my numbers are only 1.65 and that should be fine.. I am a little angry I will use the word angry but I have another one in mind. I am not a LAB VALUE and I have lived with hypothyroid for 35 years and now that I dont have a working thyroid left I need the med change to help me feel better it wont happen on its own. And my numbers have gone up a full point since summer and for me that is a lot and I am having problems keeping my body temp up again. I get cold spells that I really hate. Today at the doc my temp was 97.4 I hope its that low on Thursday too. I will update you after I talk to this new guy. God I miss my old Doc she was great.. Dr Gassie where every you are I missss you..

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

I always have a low temp...what does that mean. My normal temp is 97.4 or 97.6 by mouth at the doctors. I went once and swore I had a fever. My body ached my eyes were burning...I felt like I was on fire and my temp was only 99.6.

That is the big problem Doc.. this is a new PCP and not my Endo guy. With my ins I can only see him if I have a major problem like when I had to have my thyroid removed. Other wise I am stuck with the new first year guys in the clinic.. Some times I get lucky like the last time this time I have another one who thinks I cant help with my own care that its all him. I will be tact full I promise. I know more bees with honey then vinegar.

Glad for the most part, things are looking better. Hope you get the thyroid meds working soon.

My normal body temp is 97.1. It's been that way for YEARS!!!! If my temp says 98.6 or above, I know I have a temp. Like Shannon... anything around 99.6 or above and I'm all achey and feverish.
