Its been a trying few weeks here! The neighborhood got "hit" a few weeks ago by a bunch of teens and a lot of stuff was taken from vehicles. Thank God, it was ONLY the vehicles! My husband lost his cell phone and his cd's...I know, it isnt much, but it hurt him! And the fact that he has some pretty bad taste in music, it probably just pissed those kids off! LOLOLOL We bought my boy a car and the same day, my husbands DIED, so we basically took that one from him and will be getting him another one soon. Turns out that it was wayyyy too much car for him for a first car anyway...it has a V8. Not good for a 19 year old who really hasnt driven yet! LOLOLOL Halloween was an event for us! We love it. I dressed up in the Dorothy dress that I made. I will attach a pic of it that was taken at work. I had the kids for the weekend so that my brother could celebrate the Fla/Ga game with friends. My husband taught my neice how to ride a bike without training wheels, so she spent the entire day on the bike in the cul-de-sac They live out on a gravel road, so it was like Heaven to her! My uncle who fought and won a round with esophogal cancer has been in the hospital with a really bad infection that almost killed him...turned out that he had a pretty bad kidney stone and it was messing with him all over...gotta love Duke, that is an awesome hospital!! I got turned down again for my TT from the insurance company...very very depressing, so I wrote a letter to Anheuser-Busch. Still waiting to hear something back on that one! My weight is the exact same as it has been, but I am bouncing 3-4 lbs every couple of weeks. I suppose that I am where my body wants to be. So, I am extremely happy...I have lost over 120 lbs and will take that anyday! I started trying out new foods that I absolutely HATED preop...guess what...I actually like raw carrots now! Who'da thought it! Maybe my ARNP was right...this is like an eternal pregnancy when it comes to foods! LOLOLOLOL Thanksgiving (my FAV holiday) is almost here and I will be doing a big spread for my family and friends this year. I am going to make an attempt to go to my grandfathers with the rest of my family for a lil bit, but it just isnt the same for me there on the holidays with my grandmother gone. We are planning a big Thanksgiving this year as it is with my hubby's bday. We are theming it in Star Trek. My friend has already started palying with the cake...she is making a version of the USS Enterprise. I got him a hot diggity dog statue of a daschund that is dressed as spock and a myspace friend is making me a portrait of him as Capt Kirk in a caricature. He is going to be so thrilled. I have already started my Christmas shopping and am about 1/2 done now. I got some really cool stuff for the kids...all of them. Anyway, thats what I have been up to...thanks for thinking about me! thank you very much! I had a ball with the costume. A couple of the girls at work dressed up as the tin man, lion and scarecrow...it was too cute, but of course I wasnt there long enough to get some pics of us. They had a "party" after I left a half day! I loved yours!!! You gotta get out of that funk that you are in for Christmas...I know, I know...being without a job during the holidays sucks, but hey, you get more time with the family! (Bright side there). Christmas isnt as FUN as it was when the kids were younger, but we just moved on along to my brothers kids! LOLOL We are more like grandparents than aunt and uncle! Have you gotten anything at all on the job thing? How about doing temp work...would that fall under the Non Compete since you really arent being hired by a specific company in that field? Just a thought. |

I can't really take anything temporary, as I'm drawing unemployment. I don't want to lose that, as it's helping to cover the bills in the interim. I've had several GREAT interviews and I think things are about to move; however, there's an outside chance they may do NOTHING until after the first of the year...which completely stinks. I never dreamed I would be out of work for 5 months, but I have SEVERAL friends right now (some who were earning about $200k/yr) looking for work....it's tough out there right now.... |

Sorry for all that stuff that went on at your neighborhood. You look so cute in your custome. I am like Kathy, I have not started on Christmas yet, and I do not know what I am going to get for two of my kids but I know what we are getting my daughter and her family. My problem is what do we get my parents, who have everything. My sister and brothers always go together for our parents for Christmas. It is nice to hear from you, I sure have missed your posts here.
