Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

I ate a mcdonalds biscuit and chicken this morning. BIG TIME DUMP! blech!

I still bake for the fambly. I just have to eat a tiny piece, if that. Today it will be cornbread with the posole (chicken/hominy soup).

kathy - regarding the muffins recipe i posted - there aren't any trans fats or saturated fats in the flaxseed meal - and flaxseed is an excellent source of nutrition. (just made one for my dh before heading out to church this morning while blending my protein shake)

haha - be strong! something that is wonderful is that i have not had any overwhelming temptations to eat anything that i shouldn't be eating. a heads up on these muffins, they don't look like your typical muffin after they are cooked. they are cylindrical - no muffin top! haha it is rather cool how you can make one at a time in just a minute.

My husband is a very picky eater, and for the past 23 years, I've cooked meat and potatoes w/ macroni and cheese. When I had the surgery done, I couldn't stand the smell of grease, so he had to cook it or I would cook the meat some other way... Usually baked or grilled. He would still have his macs and potatoes... and I would have a veggie or salad.

Today he about blew my mind: I kid you not! LOL
I made a beef stew w/ carrots, potatoes, onions, garlic, peas, green beans, mushrooms and a side of corn bread. I thought he wouldn't touch the stew, but he did. LOL
I didn't eat the potatoes but ate all the other veggies and meat. and he picked out the beef, potatoes and broth over the cornbread. He has NEVER done this in our entire marriage. lol He loves the flavor that all this creates, but would never eat out of a container that had such things visible in it. He has never picked through the meal to get what he will eat. It was nice to make one meal to suit us both w/o having to make something different.
I also made a sugar free cherry/peach cobbler tonight, which I ate as well. In the past he would of never touched it. I ate a small piece of it for my desert. It was yummy and didn't cause me any stomach problems, because I used splenda instead of sugar in the crust of the recipe.
I say all of that to say this, he is starting to come along, and maybe your husband will too in time.
