| Can You Eat?
Hi everyone, I was just wondering what other people's experience has been with eating salads? I have heard that many people can eat them and others who are scared to try and eat them, Do you have any problems eating salad's?

| In the topic of wine, I have had it, but it doesn't take much to make you feel a good buzz. And I mean not much. |

| I've heard.... ....but only "heard"....I don't know on my own account...that alcohol will make you sick...and the sugar in wine isn't a good idea....esp. Strawberry rubarb....at least that would be my guess. Like I said...I don't know 'first hand'....I think that the whole issue is the 'dumping' ....I don't know still if I have dumping...but, has a little spell early on...and don't want to risk it. Part of me thinks I don't have it...but, I really don't want to know. |

| The wine with your name on it...
I would warn you all about wine...and any alcoholic beverage for the matter.
Your reconstructed plumbing absorbs alcohol into your blood stream much quicker than before, and hits your liver (where it is processed) much harder than before.
As Jolie has said, it's not going to take much for you to get a buzz, as a matter of fact, some drs consider 1 glass of alcohol for post ops is the equivalent of 5 glasses for non-ops, so it's a pretty risky affair. You can get trashed before you know it, and in a blink of an eye, there's sure to be people around who can tell you so.
Also, there's also the danger of addiction transferance, and the data that is coming around these days is that anywhere between 5-30% of the post ops experience abuse issues.
I wouldn't want any of you finding out you have an issue, and becoming unhappy and unhealthy because of it, when you have endured all the obstacles that come with the surgery and are traveling down the road to better health and better life.
So, if you have a glass, keep it to a glass, don't drink on an empty pouch, and do it in environments that people can watch out for you just in case, but also do no force you into "partying" which may get you into trouble.

THANKS doc you put it well.
AND dont drink during your HONEYMOON of looseing time and get all the
unecessary empty calories that could hamper your prime looseing time.
JUST a suggestion! We all arent perfect trust me.
