Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | Hi all, I need to just get this off my chest. I know that Im being very parnoid but here goes. I'm just over 2 weeks post op and I've hit my first stall in losing. I was losing at 2lbs a day for the first 2 weeks for a total of 27lbs and now I haven't lost anything in about 3 days. I know that I can't be done with the weight loss yet. And i'm trying to tell myself that its my body adjusting from a liquid diet for almost a month to having actual food in it. I need to be thankful that i'm not sick and can eat small amounts of food and feel fine, but man I thought the weight would come off faster Thanks for letting me get that off my chest!!!!! |

Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | ITS very normal the first stall comes at about that many pounds lost. BEING you lost that much in 2 weeks your getting the stall that others get at week 4 or 5 now. RELAX, follow your pouch rules and you will see the scale move soon. YOUR body is now adjusting! AND is adjusting to the major changes in your body. YOU will continue to see rapid weight loss. RIGHT now when the scale doesnt move your looseing the actual visual inches from your body verses the pounds you see on the scale. BOTH ways its all good! RELAX! and try not to scale watch to much. I know i was very bad with it the first 10 months!!! YOUR are not done looseing! YOU will be a success! (((HUG))))) its all normal! its more a first stall near that 30 lbs mark that most have!

5' 6" Height: | Hey. The same thing happened to me...I didn't loose for 3 weeks my second month out! I understand what your going through. I decided after that to only get on the scale once a month. As long as you are eating what your Doc has asked you to, you are doing fine. It will come off and if you don't see lbs., you'll see inches. Hang in there. You are doing great. Kat |

| Super Moderator | Bren, you're doing fine with your weightloss. If you kept losing at the rate you have been, you'll start feeling sick, because the rest of your system is unable to keep up. If you need to do something, up your exercise just a little bit. Moving around helps you feel better, and in control of yourself. You know in your mind, that it's all in your mind right now, which means that you are okay. When you get to where you want to be and look back, it will seem as if it happened in a wind of an eye. (((((((((((HUGS)))))))))

| Newbie | Prayers on your befhalf are being answered daily. At 2 weeks, you are feeling good, able to eat healthfully, and return to work you enjoy! I so understand your fears, but have faith sweet babe, you are off to a wonderful start on your new life journey. This time is different, you will reach your destination, step by step. Your ring and your favorite dress fit now - celebrate the victory moments along the way. Try out the little tape measure from the TLC package, I would guess that you will be surprised at the inches lost. Love, always and forever, Mom |

Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | I feel ya... I'm there too! I lost a quick 30lbs... and now this week it's amazing that I lost 4. If you can pick up the pace just a tad with your exercising... it helps... and makes you feel good. Don't loose hope. It will come off... your body is just adjusting.
