Don't know what started this chain of thought, but I got to thinking this morning of some things that no longer apply to us. Maybe some of you can add to the list?
1) That old Special K commercial where they say that if you can pinch an inch (of excess skin around the waist), you're fat and need to switch to their brand of carbs to lose weight. A year ago, I couldn't pinch an inch because it was all filled in so tight there was no slack. Now I have no trouble finding an extra inch loose skin (more if I roll it up!

) Maybe I was healthier then?
2) NutriSystems advertises these marvelous weight loss testimonials, such as "I lost 25 pounds in three months on NutriSystems!"*
*Disclaimer - Results are not typical.
For $300- a month ($900- total) a 25 pound weight loss is not expected? Sheesh! Why bother?
3) Lipozene claims that it is the only fat burner "proven effective in university tests."**
**Disclaimer - Average weight loss 3.86 pounds in 8 week trial.
Less than 4 pounds in two months? Around here that's called a "stall"!
(I notice that they don't advertise their cost, so I looked it up on their website and found out why. At the recommended dosage, a $30- bottle lasts 10 days. For 8 weeks, that'd be $168-, or just over $43.52 a pound!)
BTW - their ads say "
it's so easy. Just take Lipozene." Oh, so this is the "easy" way to lose weight, is it? Humbug!!!
We have set ourselves apart from the way the world sees weight loss. Could that be the reason there are so many rumors about how terrible WLS is? Who's making money off us as we lose it all (besides the vitamin and supplement industry?)
Any other examples of stuff that we have put behind us?
Merry Christmas to all!! As Tiny Tim said "God bless us, every one!"
