| night time eating
i have had a lot of sleepless nights and it seems as though my internal clock has reset. i dont go to bed til maybe 2 am so my meals are getting later and later. i dont START eating for the day til 2 or 3 pm eventhough i wake at 7. i usually STOP eating around now; 10 pm and then 4 hours later i go to bed. i wonder if that's ok? i read everywhere stop eating by 7 pm, but is that based on a "normal" day? if i stopped eating at 7 and didnt go to bed til 2 i would be STARVING.
maybe i should have put this under stupid questions

| So, how are you doing with maintaining, gaining, losing? Ultimately, if something works for you then it just works for you. If you worked 3rd shift it would all change anyway, right? I'm guessing they just don't want you to eat then go to bed....

i think that everyone needs to do what is working out for them. night eating was a habit that really has been my downfall all my life. lots of heavy, calorie ridden foods. as a result i am very strict with myself about late night eating. i will have a small square of cheese when i am hungry and/or a sugar free popsicle.
you are so successful in your weight loss and maintenance!

| Actually, maybe we should give you something that sits well to get some weight on you! I def eat when I need to, day or night, I just eat healthy and don't go overboard. My current obsession (!?!) is still chocolate sf pudding, the kind you cook. This is basically delicious fat free yummy comfort food with calcium and protein! You are such an inspiration ~ wishing you a blessed new year!

chocolate pudding is wonderful. i love it. i should try the kind you cook because i think i would like it warmer than usual. tired of cold stuff! when its warm is it thick or do you have to wait for it to cool to thicken up?

i think i need to revisit the nut actually. i am still having trouble with the "meal" concept. for example. last night, as i was putting up this thread, i ate a clementine. i was full. so that was dinner. i usually grab things that are quick and small. i still get alittle overwhelmed cooking. it just seems like SO MUCH FOOD. i already know i am nuts
i guess i need to go back to planning and having it ready when i get the urge to eat otherwise i am going to move in the WRONG direction LOL. im heading straight for the 130's again which was not good.
mmmmmmm pudding.

| It depends on how long you cook it. it'll get to a stage where it stays together on the spoon, past the creamy soup stage after about 5 mins in the fridge but will still be warm - I like it that way too. If you like a nice thick pudding it's best to do and wait a an hour or so, sometimes I put in freezer to cool good then move to fridge. It's def more filling when it's at the thickest stage. I frequently dont eat traditional meals and I hate to cook. I only do what's really necessary for DH and DD. I'm more likely to make a pot of chili or the white chicken chili with jalepenos and keep it in fridge. I'll even freeze 1 cup portions for me to grab when I don't have to cook. Of course there's always cottage cheese and blueberries - LOL. You just gotta figure out what makes you happy for now coz we know it's gonna shift to something else at some point. hee hee, I did find a 12 step meeting for the cottage cheese obsession LOL
