Default pureed foods... YUK! Need help.

I am on pureed foods... can't stand it. I can't eat "meat" from a blender... nor scrambled eggs... sorry just can't do it. I love the yogurt in the am... that's a good thing... but I've been sticking to lots of soups because I don't care for the pureed things... any other idea on what to eat? So far it's been:
yogurt
cream of wheat
mashed potatoes

HELP!!!

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

There's a new sub forum for post op recipes by members.
Have you taken a look there?
I know there have been suggestions for food made from time to time, too, but some of them have gone down sooo deep that it takes time going looking for it.

I enjoyed cream of wheat with lf ricotta in the center and spaghtti sauce on top. First I made the COW, then I made a hole in the middle and burried about 1/4 c. ricotta and nuked for about 30 secs, added a little sauce on top and a little parm, and nuked for another 30 sec. Sort of like puree style lasagana. PS if you try this out, cover the bowl during nukeing...or your micro will look like it's been nuked. LOL

I would also reccomend things like bean with bacon soup, chili, and refried beans with cheese pureed....this has protein but isn't quite as nasty to puree and eat...make sense?

Jolie's link didn't work ----> TRY THIS

One of my favs was the noodless meatless Lasana....soooo delish!
I also baked fish....it's easy to mash with fork...but isn't like blended...my nutritionist suggested this. I also did mashed sweet potatoes...and broccoli cook really well...it mashes easily with a fork...same with califlower....
I also fround that fish and shrimp was HIGH protein...so I ate a lot of this.
I, like Janae...also did refried beans and a little guacamole...Kosyshack has a sugar free rice pudding....LOVED this...still do!

think I'll have one now....thanks.

Pugmama, I'm in the same boat. I've found that my best friends are Carnation Instant breakfast (with a little dry milk, a squirt of SF choc syrup, half a banana, 1 cup skim milk, 3 ice cubes) and string cheese (Doc said I can have soft food). I can eat some of the Tyson chicken strips that are precooked. They are really tender, so I just chew them really well.
I agree, I haven't been able to eat meat out of the blender! And I am soooo over soup!
I'm going to check out some of the puree recipes that are on this website.
Good luck!

Red face Enjoy Soup....

....while you still can.
Sooner than later you will be told NO SOUP!!!
It's kinda like liquid while you eat which is a "no no...."

I have to do it sometimes....I minimize the broth part.
Good luck thru this stage....
