OK

DocSanea that's not fair!! you far eastern people are so lucky you do age quickly (mashallah) I have my kids nanny she's ~50 she looks younger than me!!!!!!!!!!!

hehehe

now back to Kath question

well I felt older while losing weight I agree with the doc we lose fillers in our face. I told you about the fillers I did for the smile lines and injecting botox on the forehead and between the eye brows. They results are tremendous!

I'm not against them at all, maybe I need cheek fillers at sometime my cheek bones are showing but I'll make them very subtle you know me I hate the kat woman face

I totally encourage the cosmatic small touches we def. need them

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

For me, I just look different. I always looked older before ~ like at 25 I looked 45 easily. Now at 44 I think I look about 43 - LOL. Seriously, if I dress nice, fix my hair and wear makeup I look surprisingly normal, even kinda cute ~~~ this is new for me so I'm ok with not looking like a barbie doll or whatever. Heck, without makeup I sorta look like Don Knotts which is a bit frightening, let me tell ya! All in all, I look better now than I did then (with makeup) and, for me it's time to do the creams, etc to take care of myself anyway.

Kath - we are who and what we are ~ make the best of it and move on ~ that's my two cents. I have to admit I'm a bit disappointed that I didn't look like I thought I should at this weight, but I guess after all I've put my body thru, well, what else could I expect?

OK- here is my opinion since I don't shy away from it (me thinks maybe I should sometimes!)

As for myself I feel younger and I think my face looks younger. It bounced back well, no extra skin. (my hubby gets mad that my profile is "cut" and his isn't!) Now having said that, my body for SURE looks older. (yes in reference to Kenya's melted candle term, that's for sure!)

As for you Kath- I can only go by what I see and I think you look great! The question is how do you FEEL!? I agree with Doc, keep that faced hydrated with tons of moisturizer and avoid the sun- it will help keep that youthful appearance.

Kath, I don't think you look old at all. I thought you were in your thirties!!! Kids think anyone over 20 is old... remember those times?

Doc, you look gorgeous! What lovely photos .... I really enjoyed looking at them!

I look a bit older with the weight loss but afterall I am 64, so no Spring Chicken. I'm ok with some wrinkles... I earned every one of them! *LOL*

Default Looking Older but Feeling Younger

I feel that I look older now that I have lost 182 pounds.

Yet, here I am less old in real age because I have less problems with my health.

I still have sleep apnea. My irregularities in sleeping back in 04 were 102 times, now down to 24 times.

I could go a night or two without the cpap machine. I am not in the life threatening area of sleep apnea.

Yes, my face looks older but I feel so young.

I am also cooler...I mean I get cold faster. I used to go without a coat. I seem to need one now.

Linda

Maybe it's also Genetics. I'm 32, and I've been told I look younger. My co- worker, is also 32, and she's caucasian, and she looks so much older. Maybe it also has to do with how "big" you were before. More loose skin may lead into looking saggier/older in the face. Who knows. I'd rather be looking old and thin, than looking young and fat.

I think you look fantastic! I would love to get the extra skin tightened up around my face. At 46 I guess everything is heading south on me
