Default does being thin mean looking old?

So I was talking with my daughter this morning on the way to church...she proceeds to tell me that since I've lost SO much weight, she thinks I look old now. (keep in mind, she's 14, I'm 43...to her, 43 is ancient).....

BUT...in your general opinion....does being this thin make a person REALLY look too old? I often thought about my ex mother in law...she is a beautiful lady, but she was always so thin, I thought it made her look older than she was......I have been contemplating gaining some weight anyway...maybe up to 140 or 145....

I want the opinions of the pros...the ones who are there now!! Sometimes, I look at myself in the mirror...or see a picture taken, and I think...DANG I LOOK OLD.... LOL

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

well I definetly think I look older now. I'm also trying to gain a few pounds now cause I feel my face is hanging now and I don't like how I look. i'm also considering botox and filling of the lines from the nose to the mouth which make me look older when I smile. anyways this is part of the process, don't know what else to do. maybe the Doc could give us some suggestions.

Hmm...so I only have my height and my birthdate in my profile.
I was born in 1949, and am around 135lbs
So how do I look? Y'all be the judge
Taken over some years, well yeah, almost all of 60 years, but the Christmas pics are from last week or two.

Now, that said, since you will lose some of your facial fillings as well as body fillings, you will have some loose ends to deal with. However, as Kath is finding out, the skin does tighten up over time. Taking good care, massage, exercise (yeah, all those exercises for facial muscles) and maybe some creams and lotions (don't they lead you to bankrupcy????!) will help some. I don't think a nip and tuck is that bad either, so long as it's done by an experienced hand, is kept in perspective--after all, do you want to look a few years younger and age gracefully, llor do you want to perpetually look like a teen? Your personal choice

Kath, remember your daughter is upset with you being a size smaller than her. Maybe subconsiously she is evening up the score. How many times to we look at a picture of someone who has lost a ton of weight and say how much younger they look? JMHO

One advice I do have.
Beware of the sun for the next couple of years at least. Getting a tan can dry your skin out and bring out the wrinkles much faster. Protect your skin from sun and dryness for a while so it will retain moisture and resilence which will help in tightening up your skin.
