Hi there,
As per everybody's request here I am sharing my diary's in Leeds. Well we've arrived safely to Leeds - UK on Sep 10th it was midnight, after hmmm I guess it was like over 12 hours flight with 4-5 hours stop in Heathrow airport.
We stayed in the Marrion Hotel for about hmmm 4 days during that while I have registered in the school and issued my student ID hehehe I will scan and post it later.. and looked for many accommodations and non of the close by houses were clean, new and decent and I found out that English people have big issue with spaces and also with number of toilets in the house heheheh it should be 1 bathroom or it's a biggi! anyhow it took us a while until we found my flat which I described in another post
it has 4 bedrooms (including 4 bathrooms) was purposely designed for 4 students to share the flat, it has modern and new fully furnished kitchen that has a stove, oven, fridge, freezer but no microwave no dish washer, no laundry washer and dryer!
OK thge No list can go longer if you bare with me hehhehe no TV set, no TV satellite connection, no free internet access, hmmm no pets, with all the noise my kids are making it might be in the near future no baby's in the premises hehehehe. 5 minutes walk from my school and very close to bus stations that take you to Leeds city center. Grocery shop is like 3 minutes in the bus far. if you are a good shopper like we are you'd probably need to take a taxi back home.
I'm also 1 minute away from the art and design library which most probably will be my second home if I didn't kick the kids and hubby back to Kuwait coz they're really too noisy for exam days hehehe
OK here are some pictures I'd love to share with you
This is my flat complex, I live in the 1st floor good thing if the elevator is broken I can climb the stairs!
and across the street is Parkinson Building that has that big clock actually if I wanna know what time is it in my bedroom I just need to open the window and know what time is it hehehehe. This building has the medicine school, nutritional school, big library, PC cluster that opens until 9:30PM.
In fact my 5 months picture was just the building to the right of the Parkinson building. I'm impressed by the arcitecture there too.
I'll take closer picture of the Parkinson stairs which is infront of couple of fast food restaurant. Most of the students set and have their lunch at the stairs they look so cute, but at night they are not cute at al especially last night and the night before they were too drunk and noisy. if you pass by that area you'd see invitations for Vodca/girls parties I'm really surprised how it's allowed for young students in their age!
Cheers for now.
Later.......
