| Left Side Phobia??????....anyone else? Maybe I'm nuts, but does anyone else feel "funny" or unsure of like laying on their left side? Like at night I am still "thinking" like can I hurt myself or squish my new insides? Lol, I probably sound silly to you all but do you see what I mean? I also started doing crunches on the exercise ball , and my left side hurts but not my right? iTS ALL IN MY HEAD i SUPPOSE but I worry maybe too much. Just thought I'd throw my little "dilema" out there for input. TKS. Kathy

Kinda! I know for the longest time I was very protective of my left side - maybe because I was one of the ones who had pain longer than others - but still now...I find that I am quick to protect that side, like if one of the monsters (dogs ) jumps up on me. You know, I am days short of a year out and there are times I still feel a pinch there for no reason.

It's not so much that I think we are not healed, it's more (for me anyway) like we can break something - oh, hell - I don't know - LOL!

When my tummy hurts I like to sleep on it, so it drove me crazy after the surgery to not roll over on my belly. I actually did sleep on it about 2 days out and felt so much better.
Yes, you are totally healed this far out and there's nothing that you are going to do that will hurt it. Remember, all the stuffing is still in there, just rearranged.

I did have some "left side" issues and it was mostly when I exercised. I do deep water running and it seemed to be the lack of muscle there. Eventually it subsided. What I have now is the weight from the flabby skin is pulling my back out. I have to wear support to hold the skin tight since exercise will not tighten that up. Eventually I am going to have to have it removed but THAT surgery is what scares me ... not the gastric one I had!!

Can't say I ever had this problem. But I would think that you are just weaker on that side.

I'd never thought of this. The first time I slept on my side it was my left side! I guess I don't have a problem with it!
