Default Am I crazy or what???

Well every year we have a group of friends over for super bowl Sunday. We play cards (friendly poker) and have a few drinks. Doesnt matter what teams make it in we do this as a tradition. We set up our own little pool, $10 a person. Anyways my surgery is Jan 28th. Super Bowl Sunday is Feb 1st. My husband and I were talking during our ride to the store to get all my supplies. He said we would have to call everyone (4 other couples) and tell them we cant do it this year. I said no dont call. I will be home and I want to have everyone have a good time. I said if I dont feel like playing cards I can sit on the couch and just enjoy everyone else having a good time. I know I will be sore but I also know my friends they will do anything I need them to do (including leaving early if need be). Do you think I am nuts? I talked to my best friend today and she is going to prepare all the food and make sure things are cleaned up before she leaves... Sounds to me like I can handle it....just curious to what others think

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

I didn't need any pain meds when I got home, but everyone is different. Having people over wasn't a problem for me, except that I was very tired. Why not have a back-up plan just in case. If you get tired, you can always go lay down~~I'm sure they will understand.

4 days....i was in and out of it...falling asleep sitting up and well drugged. If I wasn't on my pain meds then I was in pain. I remember trying to sit at my computer to check emails on Monday. I had surgery on a Thursday....I started crying and basically had a melt down that I couldn't do it. I had to go lay back down. Thats just me though. I wouldn't have been able to be social....but if they are just coming over to enjoy the tradition and your hubby can entertain...you should be fine!

I went back to work in 12 days....4 days out was a little rough still, but you should be fine....since surgery, I've tried to maintain all the things we did before and tell everyone "go about your business, I'll work around you.."

Take it slow and send them home if you get tired!

Just take it easy. At the very worst take your pain medicine and go lay down. I think it will be fine expecially with the freind going to prepare everything and clean up.

My experience was pretty easy and if it was me I would say it would be ok. But I do know others had much more of a rough go of it.
Maybe you can just let them know that if things are a bit rough for you then you may have to cancel or you could always go rest in the bedroom.
