Default Frustrated ... help!

I am not sure if I am puting this in the right place.

I am in Week 8 Post-Op, I only lost 1 lb last week and I gained 2 lbs this week.

I am down to 262 lbs, 22 lbs lost before surgery. I know I should be happy with what I have lost. My 2 month Post-Op is on the 29th. My Surgeon has not set any offical numbers she wants to see me down. But I am worried.

I can't believe I gained!!

Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

I'm 9 weeks out and I just went through that too! Then, poof, 3.5 pounds one day and 1 more the next day. Make sure you're drinking all your water and have patience (...yeah, like I have any....). You're still doing well! Don't despair!

Thank you sooooo much. I feel so alone, I know I am not but I feel that way. I am trying to reach out. My surgeon holds a support group once a month, but it is a couple of weeks from now. I posted on her support web page but no response. It would be nice if I had some patience. I had been reading posts here for awhile and knew some one would have the right words!

Hang in there it will come. I came home from the hospital 12 lbs heavier and it took 3 weeks to get that off. Before you know it those pounds will be dropping, I promise. You are still very early out and your body is still healing. I think the first 3 months are the hardest. You are in a hurry to get the weight off, stuggling to figure out how to eat, when to drink, when to take vitamins, feeling the loss of your comfort foods. This site is a great place for support.

It is a wild ride! You lose a few pounds, stall for a while, gain a pound or two then whoosh, drop 5! It's hard to comprehend, but it is true that your body is healing. It will catch up. You'll do great!

The dreaded 3 week postop stall. Sucks, huh?

You are normal. Now, put that scale away for a week, ok?

Ahhh...just about the right time for a stall.
You'll lose in humps and bumps, not in one fell swoop.
Your body is catching up with healing after the MAJOR surgery it was subjected to.
Also, when the scale stalls is when the inches move.
What about your clothes, aren't they getting looser?
Don't forget to measure the inches, the scale is not the only number to go by.

Don't mind the stall and you will be fine. I actually laugh now when I gain anything because I know there was no way I ate enough to gain LOL It is just how your body reacts. Once the stall is over, you will drop rapidly. Look at the overall picture and like Judijo says - put the scale away for a week. You will be surprised where you are at that time when you do.

Keep up the good work!

Talking I have had 3 months stalls-- hang in there!

I PROMISE you-- it is just a stall. it is your body healing and a bit too of it just being stubborn!

you are not possibly eatting enough (let alone too much) to gain any weight. you will go through these stalls for a very long time. i stall and i am over 1 year out. my longest stall lasted about 4 months!! THAT was hard! lol

you will have days when you "bounce" meaning lose/gain or stay steady for several weeks. put away the scale!! i weigh my self about 1 a month. i will go crazy if i did it every day/week etc.

please dont go by the scale (easier said then done i know it!). go by how the clothes are fitting (looser i bet!) and how you are feeling.

when you hit a year or so, you will look back and LAUGH so hard at the times that you worried over these stalls-- i promise!

hang in there-- you are doing great!
