Of course what i say is whatever your nurtionist and surgeon tell you is what you need to follow...I was never told to not have nuts...as a matter of fact i have them often..My favorite is the shaved almonds....love them and have never had a problem with them. I also like chunky peanutbutter on my apples and bananas..its another way i squeeze in my protein....
It probably all depends on how far along you are when you should introduce them into your diet. Every surgeon and nutrionist has their own plan and thats the person you should ask to be sure what is right for you...
well i think sunflower seeds are great.
I would imagine early post op to be very
careful of shells getting in your pouch.
ESPEICALLY sharp edges could tear
your healing staple line.
I would ask your surgeon unless you
will be eating the kind all ready out of the
shell.
NUTS were a good snack for me early out.
