Default Dr. okayed solid food but...

I keep throwing them up! Not so much dumping, just throwing them up after I eat them... any idea why I would be... it's only a month out... solid too soon? Soft solids... but I'm just having one hell of a time keeping it down... now yogurt and soups I'm good (that's what I ate while on "pureed"). Help me please!
TIA

Stacie

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

Stacie,

I had a really hard time with solids for close to 10 months post op. I think for me it was a case of not chewing well enough.

Now, for others, it is a sympton of a stricture. If it continues, make sure you call your surgeon to see what he/she says.

I hope this improves for you. S

my doctor has always told me since i started this if I throw up go back to puree for the next meal, then go back to solids the following meal again. If I am to throw up call the surgeon. Its possible that the opening to your intestine from the pouch needs to be stretched.

Good luck.

I know your happy about the solid food. It wasn't that long ago that I went on solid food. Are you chewing it 30x and taking at least 20 minutes per meal? I agree with SHH & Jessica. Check out your food and methods and if the throwing up continues, make sure and talk with your Dr. It could be something more serious.
Good luck and I hope it's something easy to fix.

YES u must keep your surgeon infromed if this keeps happening.

STRICTURE could be present and you might have to be scoped to find out.
TAKE your time chew well and keep your surgeon advised if food isnt staying
down at all.

GOOD LUCK!
