Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

Talking Thanks EVERYONE!!!

I love my hair color....now I need to make sure I'm conditioning really well...
Shelley...thanks for letting me know about the "health of my hair"...I had not had ANYONE tell me that.....before I colored it Saturday the amount of hair that was falling out was minimal....so while I was coloring it was a bit 'freaky' that a lot was coming out....

Now, Monday....since then, not so much....my hair doesn't feel dry....it actually feels great!! Now, I'll be monitoring it pretty closely...but try not to be too freaked!
I have a TON of hair....it's baby fine....but I have a lot!! So....it's fine that I lost that much on my first coloring. I'm praying that it will chill! And so will I....

LOL....
Thanks Shelley....oh!!!
I am sooo pumped for you about you loosing another 13#....that is AMAZING!!! So...spill it....did you do anything different in your routine? Did you pump up your exercises?? change your eating....??

I'm soooo proud of you...you are such an inspiration!!! I see now that your ticker is changed....AND that you have adjusted your final goal!! wow...we want new pictures....13# is a big difference.
COME ON...post 'em!!!

Hey Deb, I love the color you went and think that Russ did a great job. Him and Terrence are similarly talented. Shelley congrats on your continued weightloss. That is great and a real accomplishment.

Deb, your hair looks great! I couldn't believe the huge weight loss you've had since I've been absent from the boards. You look beautiful! I've got to admit that I was a little freaked out from the picture you posted of the hair you lost. Maybe it's because it's so long that it looked like so much???? I just read Shelly's post about not coloring for a while--right after I got mine done last night

LOL... well, wannabethin I would make sure you get a good shampoo with fortifying conditioners to help your hair from drying out and just becareful on how many times you color while you are loosing your hair. I just know the chemicals are not good for your hair when it's not it's healthiest. I suggested on another post to use Biotin, it's a hair and nail supplement. I take 2 tablets daily.

Question I know!!

WannaBE.....soooo funny, I'd never heard anything about "not coloring" until this week after my post!! LOL.

Anyway....I've really noticed that I'm not seeing that much loss this week...and I really am careful to not touch my hair and mess with it sooo much! I am using a really good conditioner....to help my hair.

THANKS for the Biotin tip....I'm headed off tomorrow to get some of that....I've heard it won't help the hair I'm gonna loose now....just encourages new growth....is that right??? do you know anything about that Shelley??

You are correct on that. I will not help what you are loosing now but will help speed up the new growth progress. When I had surgery, I had very very short hair. Now it was past my shoulders before I cut it again last week! Now just a bit above my shoulders. But I did find when I was loosing my hair that the boitin helped it grow much faster and healthier.

I have a hair appt. next week for color and style. I am seriously thinking about canceling the color part. I seriously could not afford the amt. of hair loss that you had Deb... I'm not well endowed in that dept. Thanks for for the post. I also started taking biotin earlier last week before you posted. Does everyone just take one a day? Should we double up because of not being all absorbed in our wonder-pouches?
