Default Full Harvest Moon Celebration

Halloween and Thanksgiving are the fall events that come to the minds of most of you in the US.
Here in Japan, one of the most popular fall events is the Full Harvest Moon, celebrated with decorations of Japanese pamapas grass along with fall flowers like gentian, fringed pink and Chinese bell flowers, and offerings of rice dumplings to the moon while we sit on a bench in the garden or balcony, and watch the rabbit in the moon pound steamed rice into rice cake with a large wooden mallet and mortar, which, this year, is tonight......but alas......we are having one heck of a storm, which has been raging all day, since very early this morning and promising to go on till tomorrow morning, with heavy rain and winds strong enough to ruin umbrellas and get us drenched to the skin...no full moon in sight

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

Doc, come to North Dakota, it seems that the full moon is right overhead and you can almost touch it. I cant remember it being so BIG! We have had fantastic weather, high in the 80's.. strange for North Dakota, but guess what, that harvest Moon is bringing in snow flurries on Monday..long underware anyone?

Well, the storm has passed, leaving a beautiful high and blue autumn sky during the day, and a bright 16th night moon (as well as saying full moon, we also say 15th night moon) in the sky.
(Unfortunately, the storm left high seas which has resulted in several shipwrecks in the Pacific with casualties, God bless their souls.)

Today and tomorrow is also the Autumn Festival of the Inari shrine (which has the fox as its messenger and symbol) of this neighborhood, and the the local god inspected his territory on his palanquin.

I hope you all are having a lovely fall day.
