5' 6" Height: | Dearest Becca. First of all I want to say that this is one of the most touching posts that I have yet to read. It yanked on my heart because it puts me in mind of a beautiful flower beginnig to open it's petals to the sun, one by one. Your growing and finding out who you are. It makes me feel so warm and happy inside. I had to give you a hug.Second of all, all though an education is important and I hope you persue your dream, it does not define who you are as a person. Some people have many initals following their name and they'll never be half the person that you are. It's really cool that your seeing all these new things that life has to offer. I'm with you 110% Thanks for being so honest in open. You raise the bar to which I aspire. Your a great person and I look forward to meeting you some day. (Hopefully next year!) ![]() |

Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | Unlike a lot of the wonderful people on this board... I do not have words of wisdom only words of encourgement. I've found this board to be very supportive and like you, glad that god has led me to this tool. Ulimately, our life is ours... and it's our choice what to do with it. I don't think someone should really have regrets... at the time it was the right decision for you... and now it's not, but most things can be changed with effort. But no matter what path of life you've followed... I hope that you've found happiness along the way to keep you company. I know "happiness" has been something I've been seeking for a long time, but there are glimmers of sunshine that pushes me forward. It's an inter seeking type of happiness I'm speaking about. I wish you... and all the wonderful people on this board nothing but that very thing.

Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | Becca a college education doesn't make you who you are. YOU and only can decide what type of person you want to be. From the post's i've seen you do your truely a sweet person with many things to offer other people. I didn't get my college education until I was 30 and then went back to school. It's never too late to get your education if you think you have to have it. Just stay sweet and true to yourself girl, thats what is truely important!!! |

| Super Moderator | ((((((HUGS)))))) Becca, I thank God every day that you are on this board. What bren says is true. It isn't the degree that makes you who you are, it is how you use it that makes you who you are. I have a couple of fancy degrees to my name because I'm required by law to have the first one for my career--which I was set on getting since I was 10--, and the second one came as the result of accumilation of stuff I had done during my training years. But, that doesn't make me who I am, I am who I am because I want to be. Also, I'm of the opinion that there is a time in life for everyone when you have to study very hard to get what you want, but the when is different for everyone. If there is something you really want, and it takes a lot of studying, then go for it, age should never be a deterring factor nor an excuse. Heck, I have a friend here who's been studying and taking the exam for her qualification for first class architect (there are 3 levels of licensed architects here) for the last 5 years, and she's yet to give it up. So, if you want something, it's never too late to make a go for it. That is one of the best things about America, after all, you know. As for looks...keep in mind, it often is how you carry and convey yourself to others that decides the attitude of others towards you, not your actual physical looks. At least, that is what it is for me, and for many others I know. If you look happy and confident, if you have that attitude whether you are 500lbs or 50, many people will approach you. If your entire carriage and atmosphere conveys unhappiness, wariness, or insecurity about yourself, the first people who will approach you will be those who want to take advantage of you, and will hurt you in the end. So, be happy with yourself, who you are, and what you are, and you will find a whole new world open up for you. Good luck, and may God bless you in whatever you do! ![]()

Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | YOU....are an amazing WOMAN!! Loved this post....you are sooo open and vulnerable....I loved reading this post! I know that you've had a very difficult time...but, you have persevered!! I totally agree with Kat....it doesn't change you to have a degree...GED....diploma. You are who you are. The one thing that is amazing about education is IF that will help you achieve your DREAMS.... DREAMS do not always require a education...and you...do what you need to do - to live to your dreams and highest potential. You are an amazing woman...touching sooo many here on this board. And like Doc...I'm sooo thankful for you being on this board....and just being my friend. I'm sooo touched by you...and sooo look forward to you coming here to NYC....we will have such a grand time! Thanks for your Post!!!
