Talking Ok, I've Finally Figured It Out!!!!

Alright, it has taken me a few months of going back and forth on this WLS, but now I've got it figured out.
I AM A FREAK!!!!
O.K........ that may be a little harsh but here it is. I would go a few weeks gung ho about having wls, then all of the sudden, I would have huge doubts and decide agianst it. Then I would be all for it later for a few weeks, then find a million reasons why not to do it. I figured out my problem................. Are you ready?
PMS!!!!!!!!!!
That is when I would be depressed, negative and full of doubt! Now that I'm in my right mind again (for the time being),and thinking clearly, I decided I am going through with it and I am sending in the paperwork in the morning! I'm doing it before the next bout of PMS kicks in. It's O.K., call me crazy if want to, I did.

Anyway, I hope this brings a smile to someone's face today. Thanks for you time, LOTS OF LOVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

Miki
Well, I still flip flop on my decision. Right now i'm in the frame of mind that i will book my appointment today, however just yesterday i had the absurd thought, maybe if i try one more time on my own, i could see a dietician and be really good now that i'm learning to eat healthy.....but i haven't been able to do it on my own before so what makes me think i can now? Just a little creep in thought once in awhile, and i can't blame it on PMS because i haven't had that problem for a lot of years now. i think it's probably pretty normal to be like this now and then, otherwise you can chalk me up in the weird catagory too.
good luck with your decision. In the end you will know what to do

Your not crazy everyone flipped flopped on the decision to have WLS. And yes PMS will play a huge part in your emotions. Just make sure your making the decision for you and not your hormones.

(((((((HUGS))))))) Miki.
Everyone flip flops, it's a major surgery that will change a large aspect of your life forever. If you didn't flip flop, that'd be stranger.
Just make the decision to or not to, for yourself, and not for anything/anyone else.

I was a big flip flopper too and now I am wondering if PMS played a role in it at all. That did bring a chuckle, and memories of when I was flip flopping all through June! Thanks for the smile and good luck on your flip flop wls journey and decision, I know I made the right one choosing it for me! Let us know if you need anything!

Smile Thanks !

Thanks alot you guys, I am so glad that I found you all. I can't believe what a big help you have been. My husband told me that the wls was totally my decision, and he would love me fat or thin, so I am definitely doing this for myself. (and my kids) If my horse could talk, he would tell me to do for sure.

Red face Not EVERYBODY....

....some, yes....but not EVERYBODY!

I never had a doubt....when my husband agreed that he was okay with my choice....I couldn't get to the doctor's office fast enough. I was soooo sick of battling the fat my WHOLE life....even when I was thin....I battled....one meal where I'd overeat, and that was it - I'd literally gain 5 lbs. (I'm not exagerating!)

But....I know the only concern for me what IF I didn't make it thru the surgery...and that is why my hubby and I had to be in complete aggreement. Especially b/c we had a child...and if I wasn't around that would drastically change BOTH of their lives. I knew it was a possibility - I'm talking dieing - but, honestly....death doesn't scare me. I just was mostly concerned for my "loved ones" and how they would feel and greive if I was gone.

MIKI~ I love that you figured out what you were feeling - that PMS thing is a killer!!! I get an aweful 'bout....but I think since my WLS it's gotten worse!! I'm thrilled for you that you are submitting your paperwork...and hope for you that you can have your surgery before your next PMS!
Thanks for the laugh...you are funny. And I'm thrilled that you've found us here on the RR board!

Let us know how your steps are going...and as soon as you have your insurance approval....and surgery date.
Question: Have you had your first consult already...and are approved? All you need is a surgery date??

guess that was a couple questions....ooops!

No I haven't done anything yet except have the initial group meeting with the doctors and RNs to learn about the wls. I didn't want to invest any time into it if I decided not to go through with it. So, now I will be doing all of the rest, just waiting to hear back from them. I'm sure my insurance will OK it because a few people from work have already had it done.
