Default taste buds change?

I heard it can happen but I thought I really like certain things, like egg beaters, and egg salad. Things that I new I could definitly eat after surgery. Today I am more then 2 weeks out. The last few days I notice that I dont like food at all anymore. The onlything Ill touch is chicken broth. I cant stand egg beaters so I tried a hard boilded egg and cut it up really small then I put in fat free mayo. This I liked before surgery. Today I cant get it down. Im nervous that if I dont get the feeling to eat anything besides chicken broth that Ill starve or something. I really cant stand the though of food. Ill cook for my hubby but as soon as anything hits my tounge I can barely swallow. This has been like this for the last 2-3 days and I did manage to get down jello. I have 2 more weeks to go on puree. Did anyone have this problem and have it go away. If so when? Help!!!

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

You'll have ups and downs with food. What you can eat, what you can't. It will also change along the way. One day you love it, the next day you can't even stand the thought of it.
Eventually, though it will settle down, and you'll be able to eat pretty much everything, so you have to learn to eat in moderation by then.

YES food likes and dislikes doo change, but being out as far as i am now,
I will say things do get back to normal with eating.
YOUR tastes come back
your desires come back
and you eat a little more.
SO make good of this time and loose loose loose!
YOU will be a success

Oh your eggs sound like me... I cant eat them at all, no matter how I cook them...can't eat tuna now and the fishy smell actually makes me gag.... things that I didnt like... now I can eat .. all kinds of beans, hated them, before.. dont worry it will change, there are some days I dont like the taste of food either, but then I drink a hot tea and then its ok.. hang in there and it will all work out./.... Default hello there!

hello,
All the gals so far are very right. I am almost 3 months out from surgery, and somedays I still don't feel like eating. I do though, cuz not good to skip meals. I have been having at least to peices of low fat string cheese with my meals for the protein a day since I could eat food. The last few days, the string cheese is starting to gag me totally. I don't believe that I just ate myself sick of it, it's just that my budders are going nuts these days. lol I have found also, though, since surgery, I am eating foods I could not stand before like pork, V8 veggie juice, dill pickles, things like that. I guess I don't mind, but it's weird. Hang in there girl it will be fine, but if this continues i would talk to your doctor about it. It's still, though, very early out for you. Give it some time.

What you are experiencing is quite normal even if annoying. Hang in there babes. It will all work out or you will get more creative and enjoy more variety in life.
