Default Corn Syrup Free Tomato Products

Has anyone found tomato products like tomato sauce, tomato paste or even simple diced tomatoes that does not contain sugar and/or high fructose corn syrup??

I'm 2 1/2 month post-op, ruen-y, and figured out by week 6 that, basically, I'm alergic to high fructose corn syrup. In week 3, after having eaten 1/2 a bowl of Campbell's Creamy Tomato Soup, my head started spinning, got cold sweats, butterflies in my stomach. I checked the label and sure enough it had high fructose corn syrup. Now I check ALL labels. Im so sensitive to high fructose corn syrup that in week 7 post-op I was at the beach drinking Crystal Light Ice Tea w/Lemon. All of a sudden I was hit with wave of nausea, I had to lay down for 20 minutes!! Then I thought, check the box. There it was... "corn syrup solids". I had never had this happen with Great Value diet iced tea, which I normally drink. By now, week 10, I pretty much drink only water. I dont mind, water is good for me andall of those chemicals probably werent good for me anyway.

So how about everybody else? Troubles avoiding high fructose corn syrup or severe reactions when you goof up and eat the stuff?

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

i dont know of a brand specifically. but if you try organice sections of your grocery store or like mrs greens natural market you may find something. keep in mind it wont be cheap either. if you can do without the products that are making you sick that might be the best bet. thats a weird allergy though. are you sure you arent just plain old dumping??

Umm....ever think that high fructose corn syrup is one of the culprits that got you into trouble in the first place? Because it did.

And your symptoms sound like dumping as Kenyar says, not an allergy. If you dump on something, that's a sign that it ain't good for you anyway. Do a search on dumping and you will come up with tons of threads discussing this. It is one of the expected *side effects* of bypass surgery, and in fact one of the things that keep many people in line and make them realize they need to stay on track.

Avoid canned goods if you can, you don't know whatall the stuff they are loaded with.
If you want tomato something, then go out, buy some tomatoes and make them yourself, that way you know what's in them. In fact, if you can, you should try cooking your meals from scratch instead of depending on processed food, so you know what is going into your mouth and your pouch.

Great job on your weight loss so far, so be sure that you can keep that success by choosing your meals wisely.

Did you know that is a natural product in it self? Yep it is. I agree with Kenya and Doc. Making anything from scratch is best and Im a firm beliver in that. Takes as much time as the can does. You may have to lay off of what ever your eating right now and try it again later. Sometimes it takes certian things a bit longer to tolerate than others. Mine was milk but i made sure I worked with dairy to tolerate it. I need it.

I make most of my meals from scratch becasue processed foods do not agree with me, my pouch lets me know right away with the first mouth full. I get this real quesy feeling in my pouch and I know then that I will get sick if I continue to eat it. Besides the home cooked meals are much more healthier for you anyway.
