| WLS Mentor  |  you may have noticed....
You may have noticed that i haven't been around alot. That my posting rate slowed way down. Well, here's the reason. (I still love you all by the way  )i think i have been discouraged about the delays in getting a surgery date. Now, they say i need to pass two nicotien/ carbon dioxide screens because i failed the first screen. I know this surgery will happen when God is ready to give it to me, and for a long time that thought plus all of your awesome support has gotten me through alot and given me alot of patience, but i think i just got a bit overwhelmed with the waiting and delays.

Freebird... don't let it get you down. It will happen when its supposed to happen. It took me a long time too because just as I was getting approved the first time (after a year) my hubby got orders that moved us from one Army base in Kentucky to Kansas and then I had to start all over because the insurance companies were in different regions!! I know it gets frustrating but it will happen for you!! Keep your chin up and I'll keep praying for you that you get your date very soon!!

I know how hard this is for you, it sucks the way insurance companies act about this surgery. We just have to stick together ank keep the faith. It will happen for both of us!!!!

freebird... I know it's hard. I went through this process not once, but twice!! The retesting for everything... the 6 month waiting period... the whole nine yards. Then right before I had to get the blood work and all, it was canceled because my DR had an emergency and I thought the surgery wouldn't happen AGAIN... I cried so many night I can't even begin to tell you. I really didn't think it was in my cards. I don't know if you are a woman of faith... but I had to dig down deep to find SOMETHING to get me through this and keep my mind body and soul on track. I hope you find that inner strenght and keep positive. It will happen when it's time. We are here for you!

Alright Krys..... so tell me, what's going on with you? What is going on with your surgery? Have you heard anymore from your surgeon? What about being approved to have it done here in the US? Just curious. You haven't mentioned much lately except you have to do the 2 smoke tests. That sucks... so with you having to do those, does that mean you are approved to have the surgery?

Thank you all for your encouragement and support. Yes, i am a woman of faith and between leaning on my God and you guys here i am findng the strength to pull through. Some days are just harder than others. I try to keep telling myself that God will see whats right for me and make it happen for me in his time.....harder some days than others. So yes i have been approved for the surgery in Rochester by OHIP however i have not been approved through disability for the gas mileage and hotel stay which even if they refuse to help me with that i'll get the surgery anyways. I have the 2 smoke screens to pass and then i can get the actual surgery date. I go on the 13 for the first smoke screen. and then a month later for the second.
