I might add everyone was talking this year to dress in some type of red white or blue or all or some of it. I might add this year was the first year that was ever suggested? LOL!

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

I too was on the couch...well actually the recliner. Finally took a shower around 4 and took a small walk. I'll post a picture from yesterday of me and my high school violin partner. She lives in SD and came for the reunion.

As you can see my tummy is very swollen and I look grayish. I bet Kara could top me on that one....teehee

You don't want a picture of my 4th! I worked all day out in the garage, put up a large blower above the rafters to move air around and make it seem cooler, moved a couple of tables around (I built these tables years ago out of some steel plate I had lying around, they weigh about 500 pounds each, so I was rearranging that furniture) and I built a wall rack to hold all the motorcycle and car wheels and tires I've had cluttering the place. I think it looks a lot better in there, and I have much more space now to work on my next Frankencycle!

When I was getting ready to come in, I asked Peanut to come out and see what I had done, and all she could ask was when was I going to start cleaning it up!! <grumble, grumble> (And to think I just hauled a 2500 lb load of scrap metal off to the recyclers on Wednesday, too!!)

So you don't want any pictures of what I did today! BTW - I'm 1 cup shy of a gallon of water consumed today! Gotta stay hydrated!! Hopefully I'll start peeing soon!!

Wow ~ looks like you guys have this holiday down pat ~ CT celebrating a man's right to have his machines ~ Kath - awesome pool! you guys looked like you're having a ball ~ great post! On Friday I was off work and my mom was out of town; she has been wanting to redo her bedroom which was covered floor to ceiling wallpaper so I decided to surprise her and strip the wallpaper off the walls ~~~took the entire day ~ then on Saturday, DH and I went down to the beach (Lido Beach in Sarasota FL) Beautiful beach - fine white sand, turquoise water, perfect temp! Interestingly, when we got there there was a racing boat that had flipped so we watched them tow that back in, hope the driver was ok, it was too far out to see and it had happened earlier so, don't know about that. Anyway, we just enjoyed out time there with our best friends, then went back to their camper and grilled filet, pork, shrimp and scallop kabobs then went to the airport around midnite to pick up DD who had gone with her grandma to visit family in NC for a week. Now, I'm trying to move - ha - coz I'm exhausted and sunburned in spite of my sunscreen ~~~ wheres the recliner......

On Friday my daughter and her children came out and spend the afternoon with me. We tried out some new recipes. We made some homemade bread, carmel rolls, peach bar and snickerdoodles cookies. This stuff was so yummy. This was all made with the low carb flours and sugars. The carmel rolls where made with bread dough my way and used no carb cream with splenda and a little bit of splenda brownsugar was flavor and color. My daughter and her kids ate 1/3 of the pan and I saw two rolls out of the pan, she took some home for her hubby to taste and my hubby ate the rest of them in the pan. I froze two small pans of them and put them in the freezer for later on. I have a flour that has 2 carbs per cup and I want to try that maybe tomarrow, this way I can really cut down the carbs. It is called wheat isoate 5000. They also make a wheat isolate 8000 and I think that one has 4 carbs per cup. I want to mix this with some of my other flours. My daughter came up with a great baking mix that she came up with for cookies and cake and the cookies are so wonderful with the way she mixes up her flours. That is what I am going to experiment with in the next couple days. It was so much fun cooking with my daughter. I gave her some of the foods we made and I frooze most of it.
Then on Saturday, I worked in my garden for a few hours and helped hubby unplug the haybind, the hay that got stuck in it and would not cut anymore. That was a chore in itself and he came home 4 times to unplug haybind and the fifth time he came home he broke down and we have to get parts now for and have to wait till tomarrow to get parts. So hubby went out early this morning and raked hay and is going to bale it this afternoon.
That is what my weekend consisted of. Sorry I have no pictures, but I will post pictures of my garden soon, it is really taking off now.

Lazy weekend by the pool, some friends over then we went to a neighbors for BBQ and fireworks last night. We live in that kind of neighborhood - always a group at someone or others house.

Is this the best weather weekend or what??? Here in Jersey we had like 27 days straight where it rained at some point during the day. Yesterday and today it is around 80-85, sunny, blue skies, big white fluffy clouds and NO HUMIDITY!!! Just wonderful! I am sooooo diggin my pool!

Kara!!! You had posted that your goal was 4th of July 2009 - well Lady...not only did you make goal - you nipped and tucked by goal date...how good must you feel!!!?? Congratulations friend!

Happy 4th everyone!

On Friday, we went to my father-in-law's house in Waverly, TN. We took Madigan to the creek and out on the river on the boat. We drove to Nashville and spent Friday night/Saturday with his mom. Took Madigan to the park and just hung out. We drove home Saturday evening.

My grandfather is not doing well (we lost his wife 6 months ago) and I went up to his house last night to say goodbye. I lost my grandmother (his wife) on Dec 31, 2008, my uncle (his son) on Jan 31, 2009 and I expect to lose my grandfather in the next week or 10 days. Been a rough year!

Today is my 32nd birthday so we are just hanging out. My DH made me a sugar free oreo cheesecake (recipe on the bariatric eating website) and I am going to make a crab/shrimp casserole for dinner. I am down 80 lbs now and feel great. Can't wait to see what the next year holds for me.

We had a lot of fun at the huge Seattle display. Although, it was a little stressful with 50,000 people trying to leave the location all at the same time.

I looked like crap because we had been out all day doing stuff and I was hoping I could get back home to get cleaned up before we went, but we didn't have time.

These pics have my husband and I and all four of our boys.
