Default update on todays visit

Just thought I would keep you all informed on my situation. Turns out that the doctor said that my opening to my small intestine was the size of a pin hole. They couldnt get it too opened so they said its very small still and to stay on purred diet till after my next visit next week. They are thinking at least 1 more visit if not 2. Im not looking forward to this. How the hell was it so small is my question. This is going to be longer then I thought it would be.

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

first off ((((((((HUG))))))))))!
NOT sure what to say! IS it
a stricture???? they cant stretch
it open????? IS it expected to open
more on its own???? (((HUG))) I am sure
all this is going on in your mind right now
as well. AN opening the size of a pin head
doesnt sound good.
MAYBE a 2nd opinion is needed. KEEP us posted.
IS there swelling that the doctor expects to go down
on its own in this time frame????HANG in there and
keep us updated and informed. IM sorry you have to
stay on the current food stage longer!!!!!

Awww, (((((((HUGS)))))))) Jessica.
It sucks that you need at least one or two more visits, but spreading the stricture too much as once will likely spring a leak (excuse the pun) so it has to be done a little at a time.
Hang in there, take things easy, and once it is done, you'll be feeing much much better.

didnt realize the one or two more visits are to stretch the opening more!
I think i misunderstood. I thought there was no action and just leaving it and you on PUREES!
oopsies.
KEEP us informed!
AND be creative with your purees to help you thru this!!!!
I know for me i love the noodless lasagna i would make in the micro with lowfat riccotta cheese and low fat mozzerella and splash of red sauce.
IM sure others have favorites...i also loved pintos and cheese and chile that werent to spicey!

Well, the human body works very hard to heal scars, close the open wounds completely. The stoma has to be made not large enough to end up too large, and not small enough that it will close up. The extent that someone's body will try to heal differs with everyone, so my guess is your pouch healed better than your surgeon that thought it would. Hence the stoma became too narrow.

Well I guess this procedure was only supposed to last no longer then 10 or 15 minutes. I was out for at least an hour, and woke up twice, the first time I was hyperventalating and couldnt breath through my mouth and they kept telling me to breath through my nose, then I went out again, the second time I woke up I had my surgeon in the room, He held my arms down till I was out again because I was trying to remove the tubes. They told me the streatched it with the littlest stretcher tool they had but couldnt streach it all, they said depending on how I heal from that visit will depend if I need 1 or 2 more visits. I dont want to go, I know Ill wake up again. I hate waking up during things, why cant they just put me out for alot longer. I would rather be sleeping in recovery then away during to procedure. They just dont get it. They told me my pouch looked great and is almost completely healed from the looks of things. I am taking some time to rest today, just minor house cleaning and put away some clothes, then im going away for the weekend with my hubby. I need some good rest time. plus to top it all off I have to work part time starting monday, I dont no how long yet but I guess I will do what I have to.

I hope it'll go better the next time.
Going back to work may help you keep your mind off the tough stuff.
Hang in there, once everything is take care of, you'll be doing fine.
