today they did an episode on wls post op ppl. one guy who had lapband and was ready for plastics...and one lady who didgastric bypass and wasnt going to be able to do plastics. it was cool because they werent teens. first time i have seen older ppl as subjects on an mtv show ( by older i mean late 20's early 30's) the guy had lost over 100 lbs and needed a body lift. he was struggling with removing the skin and by the end of the show he had still not done it. he feared cutting it off would mean leaving the old him behind....isnt that what post op life is??
the lady was struggling ith her marriage and started attending support group meetings and met a friend who lived nearby. they just showed how participating an a support group changed the experience for her.
did anyone else catch this?

i think true life is a real show on mtv. i catch it every now and then but i never really pay attention because it's usually teenage stuff.... i think if you go on their website you might be abe to vew the episode. i looked but i didnt see it on the list of viewable episodes. the title was something like "i'm uncomfortable with my new body" it was good. i miss the shows like big medicine etc. wonder what happend to that anyway???

Big medicine is back on again with new shows. My DVR is set for new shows on big medicine and it kicks in automatically when new shows come on and I have seen about 2 or 3 new ones that just started a few weeks ago. This last week they had a lady on that had a massive tummy on her and they took it off and wow what a difference and they said she will be back once whe has all her weight of for another tummy tuck. She was heavy when they took tha tummy off her becasue she had such a hard time getting around with that huge skin that she had way past her knees. I have never seen anything that bad in any shows. They have some really good shows and this comming week they are going to see the couple that had gastric bypass about a year ago, that will be exciting to see.
