Talking YESTERDAYS Buffet Lunch

Yesterday i attended a health and wellness symposium for Child Care Providers given by the NY state office of families and childrens services.
I had a great day of spa massages, yoga and other fun things.

THE thing that was soo different for me was the lunch. THE food was buffet style, I got my plate and loaded it high, sheesh was the old me
of course wanting to eat everything. I took the deli meats and cheeses
no bread, pickes, olives, coleslaw potatoe salad ....and sat with my friends to eat. I nibbled some cheese, some roastbeef, ate the coleslaw
some and was stuffed. Looking down at the plate i barely ate but was
full and finished. THAT was a moment i loved my tool it prevented the old lisa from comeing thru and finishing a plate and going back for more.
THAT was soo cool. NOW if my tool only worked well with chips and stuff
that at times i feel i snack to much on during the week when home.
IT was a great feeling i was full and had to stop. ONCE again the repair of my birthdefect helped me to not over eat.

ANYWAY thought i would share!!!
I guess I wont waste my money on chinese buffets anytime soon
i proly would get aggrevated if i was paying and didnt eat my monies
worth! LOL
TOday is my little guys bowling party. HE turned 4 on thursday. Of course today ill endulge in pizza and proly will take a sliver of cake!!! SO again today ill be thankful that my pouch controls the eating demon in mean. I am also bringing of the the 3 mega bowls of candy to put out while the kiddies bowl so that i get some of this out of the house and less tempting to me. I keep sneaking one piece here one piece there and im scared at what im doing!
SO ill rid one big bowl!
2 more to rid...!!!

HOPE everyone is enjoying a great weekend!

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

Red face WOW Lisa~

This is soooo great! I'm sooo glad for you.
I sometimes have this effect...but sometimes think, "where did I put all that food?" I still have that problem with over loading my plate....isn't that funny???
Even Knowing we can't finish...we STILL DO THIS???

CONGRATS....and good luck with ridding yourself of all that CANDY!!!
Thanks again for posting....
Love your authenticity...

I guess it's habit, but I do it too (overload plate). My eyes are much bigger than my stomach. I love the TOOL too because it makes us not roll back into our old nasty ways! congrats on a wonderful day!! Sounds so relaxing.
Take a bite of cake for me (only 10 weeks out, can't do bites yet!)!! Happy birthday lil' dude!

Hang in there, Friendly, you will be fine. I went out with my family for lunch yesterday. I ordered a small amount, and hardly made a dent in it. I find it makes me a little nervous to eat in a restaurant, I worry that I might get sick there. I seem to do better at home when I'm more relaxed and eating slower. Anyone else feel that way?

Here's my input.
I don't think it's a bad thing to be scared.
It makes you aware of what you are capable of, and what you are not capable of.
Being scared is the right step towards moving on to your next stage--being able to eat more, so needing to consolidate what you have learned in the past year--controlling your choices and protions, more with your brains and will noow, rather than your pouch. Your pouch is just a tool, after all. It's your brain and will that makes it work.
It's all about moderation, rather than dos and do nots.

OOOOh Lisa, I am so glad you posted this. Confession time, I have been in such a slump lately with my eating. I think it didn't help matters that my anniversary, birthday, and halloween are all in the same month. Oy Vey!...I too have been sneaking the occasional candy out of the stash and into my mouth, but on the positive side, at least this year it is one piece per day instead of per half hour...lol. I also think that part of it is due to such an increase of stress level at home too. I think it is awesome that you are able to open up and share this with us, cuz it helps to know that we aren't alone in this. I agree with the chip thing by the way...chips do not fill the pouch for me at all it seems. That is scary to me and I try to avoid them. When I have to have something like that I do eat the Wheat Thins Veggie flavored Baked Chips. They are really good flavor and actually fill me up, unlike Pringles or my fave Cheetos. Big huge Hugg Lisa, you are such a rock to us all and I hope that you don't get too down on yourself. Congrats about the buffet thing by the way. That is awesome.
