| 6 mos. check fears
My 6 mos. check is tomorrow. It is a week and change early for my actual 6 month mark but close enough. I'm afraid to get on the scale because I've been retaining a little H2O for the last 2 weeks. TOM hit over the weekend so can't blame it on that now. Not sure what's going on. I feel like I gained weight...it can't be fat but I don't want to be less then an 87# weight loss (where I have been for 2 weeks).
Has anyone else retained water? Is this a normal body adjustment? Wondering and a little concerned. I got this head thing going on where all the past times of getting on the scale and having bad new is back.

yes, at my check ups I always felt heavier right before I went in, but in fact I wasn't, but if you are retaining water(fluid) it is a good thing you have this appointment...the doc can help you figure out why...so don't be afraid, it sounds like you are doing great!!! with the weight loss so far, plus you will hit weeks and weeks (plateau) where no weight is loss...I think I hit my first plateau at about 6 months out....
Also, think back about foods of late and see if you are eating salty foods?????...just a thought?
Hugs

Hi Kat, you're still only partway through. Don't stress yourself over your 6mo check.
And yes, many experience waater retention, I don't remember who it was, Chuppy, Pillows, FemmeMode, but there were a few talking about this in another thread a while ago.

I just started to feel bloated within the last two days. I am wondering if it is the weather change? I also noticed that since I deal with constipation it seems to be going hand in hand. You are doing great but I find that even when I think the scale is going to reflect no weightloss or maybe a pound or two gain it winds up showing a couple down. So don't fret you are doing awesome!

K. I had my 6 month check today. I've lost 89#s. Yay. I don't go back for 6 mos. Yay!!!
Also I went shopping today and tried on bunches of clothes...22's. Haven't seen that number in a long time.
It was fun. Only bought one shirt that was on sale but still had lots of fun trying things on.
