Good morning all. How is everyone this fine Friday? It's a little gloomy, overcast and rainy here in the NY area, but a fine day just the same. After all, it's FRIDAY!

Weekends are my time for R&R, spending time with my family, getting some chores done (ugh, but necessary!) and just overall unwinding from a long daily commute and a busy work week.

Anyone have any special plans or occasions to celebrate this weekend?

HEY ROBIN!
I am a new yorker as well....
its strange out....its mild, yet
very very windy.....

MY plans for the weekend are to prepare
our yard for the pool installation next month.
I purchased a pool for the kids and have to
get some big trees cut down this weekend and
move a very large wooden swing set too....
its worth if for the wonderful summertime this
work will bring us! NO R and R here and i have
to price the fencing to close off this portion of
my yard.

Hi Lisa,

I think it's cool that you're getting a pool. I remember you talking about it on the chat the other night. I know there's lots of work involved in preparation of the installation and that fencing is gonna be expensive! Good luck with it and enjoy the summer fun! I know that first plunge into the new pool is going to be the best one of your life!

yes growing up as a kid i had an inground and loved it. I am only putting in an above ground but its something to share with the kids and make their summers a blast!

I had an above ground pool at our old house in Idaho. I had it for only one year before we decided to become military and felt very sad to sell it and leave my house behind. I loved lounging in that pool. That having been said, when should we all come over to help you celebrate.....lol. The weather here in Jersey is pretty good today. It got up to 80 degrees, but it was pretty windy. I love it when the weather is nice here, cuz one of my neighbor's and I love to go out in the parking lot behind our apartments and let our kids play while we shoot the breeze. We like to play hopscotch, four-square, and today enjoyed playing fetch with our two daughters and two tennis balls. :P Anything to wear the tikes out right? Sometimes our play circle will get bigger and include two of the other families in our complex, maybe even three. Then the play gets really wild. I can't wait for the nice weather to stick.

YES the weather here yesterday was gourgous
and the weekend is supposed to be just as nice!
I am so into enjoying the nice weather all weekend with the kids.
HOW old are your kids? i have a girl 11, a boy almost 9 and a three year old boy!

My son is six years old, and my daughter is turning three next week.
The weather is gorgeous here right now. I would love to be out playing tourist in NYC if we had the time right now. Unfortunately my hubby works nights and sleeps during the day so we probably won't get to play tourist much for awhile. We are playing tourist in Philly with my brother on the 22nd. I haven't taken the opportunity to see anything besides the medical offices and hospital and my bro has to fly in for a business meeting there. I am really excited since I haven't seen any family for almost a year now, and haven't seen him for longer since he moved to Tennessee. I have been in and out all day, kinda checking in to see if any of the people I referred are showing up yet. So far I don't see most of them here. I will have to keep gently bugging them to take advantage of this resource and get them hooked eventually.
