I was talking to one of my new friends here in Park Slope (she's actually my friend that lives upstairs - we've become 'chummy'...) she was telling me how great I'm looking and that she liked what I was wearing.... anyway...she said, "you've lost a lot of weight since you've moved here." After calculating it...I've lost 30# since I've moved to NYC!!! wow....I'm thrilled with that...that's 10# a month! we've been here exactly 3 mos. as of last wednesday! SO...ABOUT MY NEW JEANS: I've been griping about my size 20 jeans I bought at Walmart...they've been sagging and loose. (plus they are sooo "suburban mommy jeans" - not trendy or cool) Anyway...I've been on a search for jeans...and the other day, my girlfriend - Steph, and I went to Macy's. I've had NO success finding jeans in the "big girl section" of other stores b/c I have really big legs. My butt may be smaller...but WOW, chunky legs from about the knee up so it's hard!! So, last week... I was watching a show called "What not to Wear" (love this show!) and saw a larger girl going for a style make-over...and they went to a dept. store for cool jeans. SO...this is why I went to Macy's. I bought 3 pair's of jean....2 size 20's (fit is soooo different than my other 20's b/c of the straigh leg boot cut...) and then one of the prs. I loved - so I bought it in an 18 too, for later!!! I'm pretty pleased even though they are 20's! I just feel cooler...anyway...here's a pic of me...and my new fun sweater hoodie, and fun urban sketchers!

I spent a little too much but boy was it fun going down a size each time i tried on something. I know it is only going to get better!!!! Love you jeans and you new bod....looking very good. Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | Deb ill have to say thats a big milestone when (well for me at least) when we transform from the elastic waisted jeans to real hip "BUTTON and ZIPPER" jeans its a huge thing and its awesome. CONGRATULATIONS!!! and before you know it you will be in the jrs. sizes!!!!! THAT totally blows me away cause i dont even ever remember being in jrs clothes EVER!!! By the way im a HUGE fan of WHAT not to wear and sure wish they would find me and help me dress properly. I find my eyes lure me to the young styles yet i fee at my age i shouldnt be doing that. THEY always have awesome tips...i had the show in mind while finding clothes for one of many upcomeing holiday parties i have this season. I truly think the show has given out great advice. the women i saw on friday night had that middle tummy issue that i have and i went with ideas like they had in finding a top.

(all the way around!)The jeans I bought with you were my FIRST jeans in YEARS....but, have the elastic around the back part!!! Maybe that is why they feel "out of style". You actually inspired me....I've thought of your "cool" jeans that you wore when I came to LI....(ones with the studs & stones)....they were sooo cool. I saw some like it at Strawberry...but, the legs DO NO LIKE ME!!! They are toooo tight for my big thighs and knee area! OK...so, on 'the way you dress.' I think you are completely wrong! Everytime I see you...you have a very fun outfit on...AND we bought some very cute cool clothes for you the weekend I was there. I think they were appropriate for your age!!! YOU ARE NOT A GRANDMA!!!! You are in your early 40's....still in a fun prime!!!

Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | LOL thank you for the kind words on my choices of clothes but i can just hear those two on what not to wear saying im dressing to "NON" mommy like i wont use some of the words they use on the board and offend...but you can figure out what i mean. I think i should go hip with the conservative touch to it. WHO knows, i got those jeans in this awesome chain here claled DOTS. I dont know if there in the city any.....but all there stuff is always under 20 dollars...tops too....i was in there last night while waiting for my table at olive garden. I wasnt trying on jeans cause im so TOM bloated. BUT its awesome with no elastic in the waist bands, JRs will come for you in time. YOUR lower part will be shrinking just wait till ONEDERLAND!!! your going to be so amazed!!!

I took some "back butt" shots too...but honestly I gasped when I saw them.....I still look really big from the back, especially in these jeans!! I just couldn't post them....maybe after I'm in a 14!! and I start seeing a difference! It's the big thighs.... ::::::sigh:::::::
