Finally got an appointment!

I finally got a call from the wls clinic. I have an appointment on the 22nd. Two days before my 40th b-day. Maybe it's a sign, things will be looking up after 40.

So any idea how long this process takes from the first appointment, til it actually happens? Getting anxious! I still have to do the phyciatric evaluation, and the sleep clinic too......

I guess I had better learn a little patience on this one, huh?lol

I've already lost 10 pounds.

I was watching a diet guru on T.V. and he said to eat a handful of nuts 30 minutes before meals to curb hunger, and it really works! I've probably cut my intake in half by doing this. He gave a big scientific reason why this works, but I'm not going into it.

that you got your appointment, its great
time for you.

As far as how long it will take, it really
depends on the appointments for all the
pre op clearnace and how smoothly all that
comes together for you.
FOR me it took me from a FEB 21 appointment
thru end ofAPRIL to get cleared for the surgery....and
then ended up with a june 1 date.( ok i had a may date first but it had to be changed) BUT this will
vary from surgeon to surgeon so there office
can best help you there. I wasnt allowed to
book my surgery date till i lost the pre op
required weight loss so i know i needed time
for that as well added in there.
I also had to have an angiogram by the cardiologist
because they thought i had blockages which i didnt. It was
just my large size. SO my pre op took a bit longer
then some.

KEEP in touch on the board and i know all the great
people here are ready to answer any and all you questions!
