| WLS Mentor  |  Santa's Bad Day!..
(i just had to let you guys read this one) (...or how the angel came to be on top of the Christmas Tree). One particular Christmas season, a long, long time ago, Santa was getting ready for his annual trip, but problems were everywhere. 4 elves got sick and the trainee elves could not produce the toys as fast as the regular elves, so Santa was begining to feel the pressures of being behind scheduale. Mrs Claus told Santa that her mother was coming to visit. This stressed Santa even more. When Santa went to harness the reindeer he found 3 were about to give birth and 2 had jumped the fence and were out heaven knows where. More stress. When he began to load the sleigh one of the boards cracked and the toy bag fell to the ground and scattered the toys. Frustrated, Santa went into the house for a cup of apple cider and a shot of rum. When he went to the cupboard he discovered the elves had hidden the liquor, and there was nothing to drink. In frustration he accidently dropped the cider pot and broke into hundreds of little pieces. When he went to get the broom he found out that mice had eaten the straw end of the broom. Just then the doorbell rand and an irritable Santa trudged to the door. He opened the door and there was a little angel with a great big christmas tree. The angel said, (very cheerfully), "Merry Christmas Santa. Isn't it a lovely day? I have a beautiful tree for you. Where would you like me to put it?" And that ladies and gentlemen is how the tradition of the little angel on top of the christmas tree came to be.

Well, freebird, I do have to say that was a good one. It really got me into the season of christmas. It sure is creeping up on us very fast. I DONT HAVE DITTALY SQUAT DONE YET. A little for the kids, but that is it. HOPE THAT YOU ARE DOING BETTER THAN I. LOL mike |
