| WLS Mentor | So here are a few for all of you mommies/daddies and child care givers out there. I told you of the upside down grouch out of the chimney I told you about snowman poop. You could also do Reindeer Poop with chocolate malt balls. Put them in a plastic baggie and in the top of the christmas stocking with the following: Christmas is coming along with Santa and his deer Listen closely on Christmas Eve and maybe you will hear While Santa leaves his gifts Tied with ribbons and bows Ther reindeer leave these droppings In neat little rows. Or you could do Elf poop. with red and green candies and the snowman poop poem replacing the "snowman" with "Elf", or "Elven" ************************************************** Christmas Spiders (you need) -large black pom pom -4 black pipe cleaners -2 goggly eyes -glue -string -scissors Wrap a piece of string around the pompom. Form a loop for hanging. Wrap black pipe cleaners around black pom pom bending to form spider legs, Make one pipe cleaner=2 legs Glue on goggly eyes to face of spider. (There is a story of the christmas spider to go with this, i just haven't found it yet, but i will, give me time) ************************************************** * Christmas Stars (you need) - 4 popsicle sticks - colored glitter - paint (spray is best) - glue Glue popsicle sticks to one another at center to form 8 pointed star. Paint star with any color (spray paint is easiest if being made by older child or being prepared by you for younger children) Brush glue over one side of star and decorate with gitter When dry flip star over and repeat When dry tie a string in a loop to star for hanging (This craft can be made simple for younger children or very involved for older children. For example you could let an older child make star from begining to end, or you can pre make the star up to decorating point and let the child decorate with glue and gitter. ************************************************** Macaroni Wreath (you need) - different shapes uncooked macaroni pasta - Paper plates (any size) - Glue -Scissors - Green, Gold and Silver spray paint - string Cut out centre of paper plate, Decorate outside ring of paper plate with different sizes and shapes of macaroni when dry spray wreath wth any bright Christmas color that you wish. (Again adapt for age group) ************************************************* Ok well i've got a few others but i've run out of time so i'll post more soon. Have fun (Hey if anybody wants to add to these, go ahead)

| WLS Mentor | Awww!! thanksoh another fun thing to do is snow painting. Now of course that depends on if you get snow or not. HEre in canada we get it. you'll need empty plastic bottles that either spray or squirt (dish soap bottles) paint, (you can get powder craft paint for children wich would be ideal, you would have to make it real runny instead of thick, if you can't get that use a cheap craft paint for children and dilute it in water, you want to able to spray or squirt paint out of the bottle you are using. snow lots of children Have fun.
