Arrow FEMME's 1st Surgeon Apt. since TX

Hey you all....
I found a surgeon here in Park Slope....his name is Dr. Piotr J. Gorecki. Problem is....our insurance....we had to change insurance when my hubby left his job to come to school here in NYC. What I've found is this insurance SUX!! When I called about what would be covered and not covered I found they consider this surgery to be "ELECTIVE"?!?! What???
Anyway...there is no way around it...so I'm going to have to pay "out of pocket" for everything...and this visit is going to be $300!! (not included lab work!)

WHEW!!

But, I know I have to have it all done...and really should connect with some surgeon here...in case I ever do have some issues. SO....
Tomorrow is my first appointment....and it should be interesting. I don't know what to expect....??? I've only had one post op apt. with my surgeon in TX...so??? who knows!!

If you know anything...or have any suggestions for me - LET ME KNOW!! OK??

Thanks ya'll!

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

SORRY about your insurance plan.

BUT i would get the blood work done thru your regular physian as a physcial requirememnt knowing what extras the surgeon wants added on and send
them a copy. THIS way the insurance will cover it. I think i explained that right in words here???
hope it helps to save a few dollars.

I have to agree with Lisa here. I would go to a primary physician and ask to have all blood work done as part of a physical. Since my surgeon is 4 1/2 hrs away, my PCP does all of my blood work for me and he codes it under a physical. Just a great suggestion that may save you a lot of money.
