Default Redo for Miki!?!?!?!?!

Ok.... I was talking to a friend of mine who had wls about 2 yrs. ago (now a size 6), and she was telling me about the program she went through at a different hospital than I was going to. It sounds like her doctor is much more attentive and caring with his patients. They also have a great support group there,so I have decided to switch doctors now, before I get any deeper into the other doctor. So I have to redo some of the stuff that I have already done at the other place. What the heck, it's only an hour drive. I just want to make the right decision for this to be successful for the rest of my life. The follow-up seems to be much better than at the place that I was going to. Better to figure this out now, than later and have regrets. I feel good about this decision.
My friend has actually became an advocate for wls, and speaks at wls seminars along-side of the doctor now. She is very passionate about this. It really inspires me.............. I hope you gurus realize how important you really are to those of us who are scared to death about all of this. I hope that someday I can help others in the same way.

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

I think your makeing an awesome change and choice here.

THIS journey for me has been so much easier on me because of the fantastic personal care my surgeon and his office give me.
THATS very important.
when i phoned that i was refunding coffee grinds.....he had me in the following morning for a scope and treated for a bleeding ulcer.
another time...
i had some nasty cramp spasms going on....he instructed me to go to the ER, he was there in triage when i was admitted thru, greeted me, ordered all my tests and the problem was nothing to do with my bypass but he was there for me like family.
I cant say enough for all the support meetings he has,and all the great care and personal attention i get during my appointments. HE truly cares.
SO for me thats an important reason to meet with this other surgery.
ALl the best!
and keep us posted of ur journey

and in closeing...thats why i am here and as active as i am on this board. I want to help the newbie's its a roller coast ride all the ups and downs on this journey and we all need support. I love to give back and thru this message board i am able too!

Mikki, I think you made the right decision in changing doctors. I know that my doctor is the right one for me and even though I don't see him that much, it helps me to know that he is there for me if I need him. You want someone you feel comfortable with. I am glad that your friend is so pro active after the surgery in helping others. I hope that I never forget who I was or where I used to be in my journey and help others with their's.
