I got back a few hours ago from my check up. Everything was peachy and I was told to progress with my diet as I felt comfortable. Score!! I have been cleared for exercise within moderation. Still no bending and picking up heavy things. I am thinking about joining CURVES.
I still had on some sticking plaster over my LAP wounds so Dr F yanked them off.

And the Hello Kitty bandaid I had over the hole where the tube had been. I still had a bit of ooze (very very small) with the latter, but he said everything was cool and to call him if I needed him.
Honestly I have been scared to look at the "holes" because I get squicked so easily. He put the Hello Kitty bandaid back on and said to keep it covered for a few more days.
My blood pressure is back in normal range!!!!!! And I have not had a touch of fever from my lungs in two or three days, so they were happy.
A sat there with the nurse for a while going over my chart and answering a bunch of questions. I really wanted to know if I was a rare patient since I was not having any trouble with eating or drinking, no vomiting, no taste changes. She grinned and said that most of their patients came through bouncy bouncy like me. Dr F is that good. ZOMG! I have a
Super Surgeon!
I saw the girl that he did right before me and she was great too. Morgan has been scared to eat, but I encouraged her to try it. She had been eating mashed potatoes for a week! I know the nurse was going to pep talk her, but I think the main problem is that her nosy MIL was staying with her "caring" for her after surgery and has been driving her nuts. That and she has three kids under 5.
Ken and I went to lunch(more like early dinner) before the trip back to the house and I ate a tad of a plain baked potato with a smidge of butter and sour cream. And drank unsweet tea with the pink stuff in it. I stopped eating when my pouch barked and had no trouble watching Ken eat. I stole a pinch of shrimp from his plate and chewed on that for about 5 minutes, lol.
As I scooted to get out of the booth I had a big owie. Looks like I kinda pulled a bit of skin around a LAP insicion. It f@ckin hurts like fire. I can see it in the mirror. I guess the plasters have been keeping that from happening. So the exercise thing is going to have to wait a week or so for a bit more healing unless they have some non-bendy things. Will have to check it out.
BTW--13 pounds down!!
