| Ugggggh!!!!
O.k. I am totally frustrated with myself.I have gained 2lbs this week. I haven't gained anything since I had surgery. It is not TOM so that can be ruled out. Could it be that I have been drinking too many non fat lattes ( I had 1 everyday last week). Then the ugly carb monster has surfaced.....I don't dump on sugar or carbs. I have been dipping into the crackers and peanut butter a bit much lately. I need help!!!!! I can not go back to old habits. Yes MsVickie, I have to confess I have been on the scale everyday this weekend so that also sent me for a loop. I promise I WILL NOT get on the scale the rest of the week

The non fat lattes can still have hidden sugars in them which will set off those ugly carb monsters.
The hardest thing in the world I think post op is to STOP rewarding ourselves with -FOOD-. It can be for the simplest reasons or justifications but it has to stop early on or it does move the mind back into that groove that says food is a 'reward' somehow and it's NOT, it's just fuel to keep your body healthy and strong.
Just go back to the rules, cut out the lattes and drink your water and protein it up girl!

Sorry to hear about your gain but it is just part of it. Losing is the best part then come the stalls and gains. Not fun at all. I am still trying to get rid of the carb monster. I have him at bay now but he is not knocked out yet.. Peanut butter is one of the food that I just can not have in the house. I love it and if it is here I say well it does have protein in it so I will have just a little then just a little more and then I start craving other things.. so i call it a red flag food for me. Crackers are another problem for me. Just too easy to over do it. You are doing great. Dont get discouraged .. It is the old rollercoaster ride for sure.

Keep on hand, good protein snacks. Whenever you feel the urge to pick a carb up, pick up the protein. Whenever you have the urge to drink something, pick up the water bottle you keep on hand.
BreeChick is right, you have to learn to reward yourself with something other than food. Keep in mind, the correct amount of the correct type of food will reward you with health, but the incorrect amount of incorrect food will ruin your life.
((((HUGS)))) You can do this.

You got it stay off the scale do this for an entire week. Yes you know better. Dont do that to yourself ok? On the lattes.... try to do one every other day see if you can do that for your self. I have no idea what the content to them are because I dont drink them. The peanut butter is good for you. It saved me alot of times. Choose the right cracker if you must have them. I do agree with Doc on the snacks. Your early out and your not done yet. You know this. That scale can mess with your mind honey. With it bad and you dont need that on top of things in Life. That is why I do insist for people to stay off it as much as they can. CT posted about when to weigh yourself. If you drink water or have eaten etc......... it can show what you put in you on that scale.
Now its time for you to write everything down.........you eat in a day. Your gonna be suprised how little you are eating. If you need to move a snack around to another time do so. Just do this for yourself ok? I dont think your messing up but writing it down does help emensley. Take care. MMM whats with the name change did I miss somthing?

| I'm with MsVickie - stay off the scale!!! I know it's hard, but you've got to stay off. It is addictive, but it's depressing also when you gain a pound or two. But remember, when the scale doesn't move, the inches are coming off. So remember, stay off

Ditto what the others have said. Remember when we stumble & sometimes fall we need to pick ourselves up & start moving forward again, hopefully having learned from our slip up. You've been working hard. Chin up!

Ooh yes stay away from the scale!! I only allow ONCE per week to weigh and if I am no here that day, I don't "make it up" the next. I was addicted to food, I won't get addicted to the numbers now!
