Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | Sheila Mae - not sure about the liquid prior. I see my nutritionist on Tuesday the 19th and apparently she's gonna give me the low-down. He did say that he doesn't require it, but that he does know it shrinks the liver. He's so conservative about some things (the driving), but not overly concerned if I don't drop weight prior to surgery. That being said I'm on the cusp according to HIS guidelines for being open or lap 10lbs is his determing factor. I'm definately going to lose 10lbs before the 11th. WOW!
