5' 6" Height: | Yesterday, the company gave us our Christmas gift. It was a HUGE basket full of goodies. Instead of taking it home, I went to my bros. house and unpacked it w/ my SIL. I put all the dangerous things (such as chocolate covered potato chips & and assorted candies, just to mention a few) in a shopping bag and then took the rest home. It was surprisingly tough, head-wise to leave it there. Soooo glad that I thought about what I was doing. PS The chips had 35 cals. in only ONE!!! Last edited by Kat : 12-15-2006 at 05:09 AM. |

Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | HEY KAT! I think you did awesome planning. I think thats awesome that you went thru it at someone elses home and not even bring that junk thru your doors. ITs so easy to get tempted, alone cave in during a PMS moment or a stressful time. SOUNDS like you did an awesome thing with that gift basket! YOU ridded your kryptonite.

Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | Kat I'm so proud of you! I'm still pre-op, but I'm taking inventory of everything around me and I'm not talking just about food. This site has given me more insight than any talk w/my surgeon. To be fair I haven't visited his WLS support group as it doesn't meet once but every two months. Anyway, I'm so proud of you for removing temptation from the equation. On one of the times I was successful at losing weight I would put food in the trunk of my car (b/c I have a nasty middle of the night eating problem) and there was no way I was going to get out of bed and GO OUTSIDE! You made a FABULOUS CHOICE! WTG!! Your new body appreciates you and every good choice snowballs into bigger and better choices. Woooooo Hoooooo!
