| Whipper Snapper | I bought some Lifesavers pops last night.....on the front of the package it states sugar free. Got home and had one and let me tell you I had to sit down these things where so good. So good that I had to go check the label. On the side label it shows 3 g of sugar alcohol.....what's up with that? Is this a concern? How can they advertise sf on the front and have this on the side? It did not affect me but I bought them with the idea of possibly having 2 at a time for nydration purposes. Now I'm a little hesitant about having 2 close together. I guess I could try 2 and see if it does anything |

Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | ahh you are learning!!!! YES we have to read the lablels. I also watch my carbs big time. for me the items with the sugar alcohols in it tend to do the laxative effect on me. I watch labels closely. We all react different so you might be fine. ITS confuseing but you will get the hang of the labels! GLAD you enjoyed the ice pops. I know there are some others that are sugar free that come in soda pop flavors which i hear are good too...!!! KEEP up the great work and sip sip sip, suck an ice pop and I am sure all will be fine!!!!

| Super Moderator | The label says sugar free, because sugar alcohol is not considered sugar it self, as in glucose, fructose. maltose, etc. They are often used as sweetners, and have calories, too, so you need to count your calories and carbs with them, the same as you would with sugar. Some people get sugar alcohol resistance post op and get sick from them, though not everbody. Learning to keep track of stuff by reading labels is a very good thing. Keep up the good work!
