Default Tiny little dry patches...

Hey ya'll... examining my body and have discovered little tiny round dry patches of skin... on on my arm, one on my thigh, one on my leg... anyone else had an experience like this? I've just started using lotion (after I found them)... and just wondered if the WLS had caused them or if it was the weather?!

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

Question

Strange....
I have a tiny dry patch on my eyelid??
It's been there about 7 or 8 weeks...and drives me nuts....esp. b/c of my make up!

hmmm...I never thought that maybe it is WLS related.....
???
I wonder??

Well, I must say.... It has to do with the weightloss. I went to the dermotologist for it and he said it is the beginning signs of psoriasis. If you try lotion and it doesn't work. Get to the dermotologist and have him prescribe a steriod cream. My first patch was on my elbow. I tried everything there was, nothing worked. Then I got one on the other elbow that one traveled a bit down my arm. Finally I couldn't deal with it any longer and went to the dermotologist. He prescribed the steriod cream and they cleared right up. They do occasionally return but I just use the cream as soon as they do and voila...they are gone again.

As far as the patch on your eye.... I would definately see a dermotologist for that. I did have one on my eye too. I stopped wearing eye makeup thinking that would clear it up, it didn't. I tried extra moisturizing cream, to no avail. So, Deb, I would get it checked out. Don't take chances when it comes to your eyes.

Default Me To Pug!

Well, PUG, you can add yet another one to your list of friends here, ME. Yes, I have them to. I have a few on my face and the tops of my hands. I tried lotion and that seems to take away the dry look. It did not take them away though. I actually blamed in a joking way, my deceased grandmother for giving me psoriasis. lol I thought that is what they were. MAYBE THEY ARE. WHO KNOWS. If you do find out that maybe it's a deficiency or something, please post it. I NEED A CURE AS WELL.

Talking Thanks...

I need to go to the dermatologist....or eye doctor....
you're soooo right...I can't mess around with my eyes!!
I told my husband (the eye doctor in training...LOL!) about it....and he was like, "WHAT! You need to make an eye appointment!"
So...tomorrow we are making the apt.

Thanks Shelley....

Well, with all the speedy weightloss, and the hard time your body is going to have keeping up with it all, there will be some thing that go wonkers...You'll probably find yourself susceptible to some conditions you normally wouldn't be. Things should resolve themselves, once your weight stabilizes, and you have been in the maintenance mode for a while, and your body has had time to catch up with everything, and it gets back the normal balance minus your excess weight.

Talking Wow...

That's great to know Doc....
I never thought about that!
So...hormone levels and everything level out?? Interesting....
I'm counting on the hairloss thing to even out....I only lost another 7 or so this past month too....so my weight loss is slowing considerably.

Although, I was disappointed at first....I'm just glad to still be loosing...and 7 pounds now LOOKS like 15 before....I'm already "baggin out" my 18 jeans....amazing huh???

I refuse to buy new jeans until February....b/c I just bought the 18's in NOV....the 20's in OCT.....so....I'll just have to deal with baggies for a bit! LOL!!!
