Default Date Changed

I found out on Thursday that my surgeon is having a family emergency and my surgery date has changed to Jan. 18 from Jan. 4. After thinking about it, I thought, everything happens for a reason. At least, now I can enjoy Christmas dinner (my last meal). I don't know why that makes me laugh, like we are in prison. lol I was going to be on a low fat diet with my date on Jan. 4.

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

Aw. Sorry. You are better off than Peanut, da Perfesser's wife though.
She got her date pushed back 3 weeks just 3 days from her orginal date, and already into the pre op 2 week liquid diet.
(((HUGS))) Hang in there, your day will come.

Yeah, poor Peanut was so good throughout the first two weeks she was on the liquid diet, then 3 days before her date, the surgeon's father died. She got to eat again for another week, then she did another two weeks of liquid diet.

The good news was that she was strict with herself the whole time and lost 20 pounds pre-op just from the four weeks of liquid diet!

True, it was a hassle at the time, but 9 months and 80 pounds later, that minor glitch is forgotten. She has more important things to think of now, like finding clothes that fit!!

Good luck as you reset your schedule. You have two more weeks to practice how you'll be eating the rest of your life!

Yep everything happens for a reason and afterall , our doctors have a life too, even though they probably don't feel like it at times.

I had my "last meal" at Red Lobster right before my liquid diet started and I thoroughly enjoyed every single bite. Now over a year later I CAN go to Red Lobster and I CAN eat my same favorites, just not as much at one seating. lol
We think we won't ever be able to enjoy foods again but honestly as time passes by you really DO get to re-introduce foods into your life, and during that time of not being able to just endulge in everything, you are learning portions control and selective eating habits that will benefit you a lifetime.
So just hang in there all is not lost........... except the weight!
