Femmemode and I met today and it was so great. It was nice to talk to someone else who is going through the same things I am. Although I am about 6 to 7 months ahead of Femme we were able to compare notes. It was exciting to meet someone from this group. I am sorry she didn't get her snow while they were here though although it is fine with me. Being in Northern Michigan we get more than our fair share usually so it is nice not to be digging out right now. I have to say that Deb has a very lovely daughter too. We met for coffee and breakfast and had a lovely time. Will have a pic of the two of us once she gets home.

I found out that the insurance company we are switching to as of Jan 1st covers this surgery. (United Health Care). I decided to do some research on it. I have been a yo-yo dieter practically all my life. I am 51 years old, weigh around 215-220. I am not quite 100 lbs overweight, however by BMI is over 37. I am only 5’4. I have been on BP medicine for 10 years now. Have suffered from depression for many years. I eat because I am depressed and I am depressed because I am fat and miserable. I just found out that I am now pre-diabetic. I do have asthma also and get out of breath very easily, playing with the grandkids wears me out. If I get down on the floor and can barely get up. I can hardly reach to wipe myself when I pee. I am just miserable, tired all the time. I had my gall blader removed when I was 30 years old, and 3 years ago, I had part of my colon removed because of colon cancer. I know my gall stones and my colon cancer is from my bad eating habits. I just can't seem to get control. This is not living. I want to know what it is like to live. I keep this up, I'll be dead by 60. Sorry about giving you my whole sob story.

no, thank you muffins, we appreciate hearing others stories. It sucks to be fat and miserable. That is why this board is here to give each other the support we need, I am so happy for you and your surgery date. I am still preop for a couple more months. Doing my time (six mos supervised wl) it sux but i will survive and next year at Xmas I will be hopefully 50 lbs lighter for it. I am glad you have come here to our little piece of the internet. We are happy to have you!
