| Windy day here, so how's your weekend?
Whoooo boy, it was a very windy day here, Friday. Store clerks were collecting plastic crates that had scattered all over the street while cars were dodging them...pretty tricky driving (and I was one of the drivers.) I hear a crash and look over, and there's a sign that's fallen down...lucky no one was walking close by. Mommys trying to steer the stroller while the wind was making a sail out of the awnings. The car shaking while waiting for the traffic light to change.
Well, the sky was pretty clear this morning, but it soon became overcast, and is now raining. Looks like it's going to rain till tomorrow morning.
All typical spring weather here.
So, how's your day started? |

Hey Doc, I am sorry to hear that it is so windy there. I am still battling the whole allergy eye thing here. I have never had an eye problem this bad before with allergies. I am going to have to make an appointment with a doctor Monday to get it fixed. I have been taking Claritin and Benedryl and it doesn't seem to be working. Lately it seems like there have been so many new people that we have dwindled on non-welcoming posts. While it is important to welcome people to the board, I think we need to start going back to posting other new topics so that we can keep them here and an active part of the board. Thank you for posting something non welcome related.

Hi Doc,
It's a beautiful day here in New York. A little cold, a little breezy and a big bright beautiful blue sky. Unfortunately I had a "medical" day today. Decided to get a couple of things done today, since it is so hard to make Saturday appointments. So, I had both oral surgery and foot surgery on the same day. OUCH. I'm sittng in my living room, feeling all the novacaine wear off and waiting for the codeine to kick in! I had to have an ingwon toenail removed, so I know that's going to be uncomfortable for a couple of weeks. I had gum surgery, which will feel better tomorrow or Monday.
So, while it is a beautiful day outside, I'm stuck inside, prisoner in my chair!

Hey Robin, my mom had 4 of her toenails removed due to ingrowns that were reaccuring. Did you have the whole toenail removed? I know that it was very painful for my mom to have done and remember all too well what an ordeal it was for her. I don't envy you your position right now. Good luck with a speedy recovery.

Thanks doll! Yeah, the whole nail on the big toe of my right foot. It has been on going for the last 3 years, finally needed to take care of it once and for all! FOUR! Ouch, I can't imagine what that must have been like for your mom. My foot is throbbing right now and my face feels like it was slammed into a brick wall a few times.

Awwwww. That sure is a bummer.
I hope Mel is coddling you and pampering you, and is giving you the whole princess treatment all weekend.
Prayers for you to feel better soon.

my sister-in-law had both her big toes done the same day. I remember she was really in pain for a while. I've never had an ingrown toenail. Thank God for that. I hope the pain subsides soon for you. I'm going to have dental work done soon as I have 15 teeth (one an inmpacted wisdom) to be pulled and I am NOT looking forward to it.

Thanks for the thoughts and good wishes Doc and Willa. I'm never going to have two procedures done on the same day. What a mistake. Yes, Mel was darn sweet and took good care of me. He felt bad for me, because I usually just sort of suck it up (pain) and I just couldn't yesterday, so he knew I was really hurting.
Willa, sorry to hear about your tooth issues. Although I need some tooth attention, my bigger problem is my gums. I hope things go smoothly for you.

It is good to hear that you are recovering well Robin and that Mel is taking such good care of you in the meantime. As for you Willa, I am sorry to hear about your tooth problems. I hate tooth pain. I can handle most pain unless it involves my mouth or another part of my head. It is kinda like I can dissasociate myself from the pain unless it is close to my brain, then it just seems to take over. Good to see you posting again though. Both of you take care of yourselves.
