Default A Little Help For Those Regaining...

Dear Friends,

Heading into 3 years out and i thought I would share a little bit of what my surgeon reminded me about ...incase I start slipping into the lies our brain tells us about dieting etc. I just want to help those who need to get back to basics and remember .... WE CAN EAT!!!! YAY!!!! Wonderful, delicious, healthy, amazing food!

KILL THE CARBS!!
The BAD carbs are your worst enemy and will lead to your peril!! Clear out your cupboards and throw out all the garbage!!

Stick to the basic pouch rules to be successful!!

Eat only at scheduled times - no grazing
Get your water in but remember no drinking 30 before/during/30 after
Protein first, veggies, then good carbs
vitamins and supplements for life
stay active
!! Never stop weighing yourself!! thats key too!!

This is a lifestyle change!! Live, EAT and enjoy and you will stay thin! Please remember one thing...STOP dieting!! EAT!!!
Dieting makes you OBESE!!!

I hope this helps just one!! Hugs, Corinne

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

Congratulations on your weight loss, you've done an amazing job in keeping it off. And you are right in what you said no grazing, I try to keep drinking my water if I feel the need to eat, and I know it's out of habit from prior, I think it will always be with us, it's just how we handle it and I am finding it that even if I am stressed out, I don't go on a binge and eat, so I know I can continue. Good luck you've done a fantastic job.

Corrine,

You're just a couple of months ahead of me. Looks like you have done very well with this. Congratulations, and good luck with the last 20! Thanks for putting this in such a nice and concise format. I think this thread ought to be stickied so it won't slip away into the archives.

There really is no secret to success here. There are no advanced teachings reserved only for those of us who've been at it longer. The newest wannabe and most recent postie will get good results following the same rules we have to live at maintenance. Same for the returning longterm who has experienced regain. Learn 'em, live 'em, love 'em!!

This is why it is so critical that each person wanting success live these rules consistently forever!! There's nothing else to learn after you've learned these and are living them!!! That's all there is to it, folks!! Master these and you have mastered yourself.

Like the ad says ... "Just do it!!"

Corrine your so right on this one. I would find my self grazing if anything. I noticed it a while back doing it a little and boy I stopped it fast.

Thank you for giving us all a boost with your message. Your correct on it all!
