Gotta love those snow days. Last night I was like a kid on Christmas Eve. Checking the TV throughout the night eagerly waiting for my school to scroll across the bottom of the screen. 5:45 this morning the good news arrived.
Today I'm cozied up in the house in my son's fuzzy hoodie, fire roaring in the fireplace, with my Chihuahua and Chocolate Lab, reading a darn good psychological thriller. Later I'll go out & snow blow the driveway and sidewalk. (I did have to shovel a walkway for my Chi as the snow is deeper than she is tall.)

Happy Snow Day to you too!!!! I got lucky - before I left work yesterday, they closed the office for today b/c Philly declared a state of emergency. The first round wasn't too bad but apparently this afternoon is blizzard conditions. Since I live in the city and don't own a car, I don't have to do any shoveling and can just enjoy the snow. Gotta love a day off!!!

Same here in Allentown... we are in and not going anywhere even if we wanted to. We are already seeing whiteout conditions. So we are tucked in and just weathering the storm.... lots of video games and movies in our immediate future!

Enjoy your snow day!! I got home last night and worked out for an hour and a half with the snow blower. (We only got 11" this week, but with a 2' base already, my poor blower has a hard time lofting it above the cliffs overhanging each side of the walks!)
Shoveling snow is a great cardio-vascular workout that hits almost all of the muscle groups!! Nice to see so many more folks taking it up this year!

Snow total here was 11 inches. Not to shabbly. Just finished snow blowing. Darned near run myself down when I put the blower in reverse!!! BTW...I found the strand of mini Christmas lights I "lost" in the shrubs. Life lesson...check for Christmas lights before snow blowing near shrubs. The husband says I'm really too short to blow with his "man machine" & that's why I have a hard time controlling the thing. I'm sure the neighbors had a good laugh. Anywhoo...got a great workout between the snow blowing and finish job with shovelling. Tally Ho!
