I totally agree with not quite Barbie..ALL newbies should read this one..it's great, it made me laugh as did some of the responses..especially the one that said she was TWO WEEKS out and hadn't experienced any of what lisa described ROFLPIP...boy girl are you in for a wake up call LOL!! It is totally a great tell it how it is..and I wish she'd also added the whole bit about 'friends' who turn away and no longer want to be friends with you part of the process too! Great read!

Stuff like this scares me because I am 6 weeks out and think I've had it pretty easy. Second day after surgery was rough emotionally and physically and around week 2 I broke down crying because I did. not. want. any. more. protien drink. I had one episode that seemed like a dump, sweating, pulse racing and diarrhea, but it passed quickly and in retrospect was no big deal. I started solids last night and so far I have had lunch meat (organic ham - no preservatives) cheese and a egg. (I did have a little panic attack before the first meal!) But so far so good. Knock on wood! I am almost on the edge of my seat waiting for the bomb to drop!
