Default I'm scared!!

We went to Cici's today for dinner because it's my son's b'day. I had a few pieces of pasta and had a slice of pizza minus the crust. I'm scared that I could eat this much!
Funny, it's only a fraction of what I would have eaten before surgery, but I guess that old psychology is working on me...I felt guilty and frightened for eating the pizza!
Anyone else out there go through something like this? I guess I'm just afraid I'll "overcome" the surgery and eat my way back up to where I was.

Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

I don't think that what you ate sounds excessive at all. Really, if you take away the crust of the pizza, the topping and sauce wouldn't be all that much. Sounds to me like you are doing fine!

Default Normal Question Howie

I do believe that I made a post very similar to the one you made when I was not far out. I was scared to death that I was eating too much to soon. I wasn't, but had that BIG fear. As long as you are stopping eating when you are full, you are doing fine. The further you get out from surgery, the more you are naturally going to be able to eat. It's natural, and you are doing nothing wrong. I am sure you know that, but just wanted to ease your mind a little. I eat a heck of alot more now, than when I was as where you are at. It is just alot more good things now. In the end howie, it is not the amount until you are full, it is going to be what you are putting in your mouth. I hope that this helped to ease your gitters.

Yep I feel that way with every meal!! I'm always scared I'm eating too much many times I stop and I know that I'm still hungry but so scared to go back to my old eating habits.. And then last night for dinner I ate till I almost threw up and regreted it horribly and I know I won't do it again ( at least for awhile) I'll be back to stopping before I'm full.

I'm pretty sure everyone is scared of "overcoming" the surgery and eating your way back to where you were before.
That thought is quite normal.
However, unless you start grazing on high calorie low volume stuff (like chocolate) and you can stick to your surgeon's instructions most of the time, you'll be okay. (I read somewhere of a guy who gained more than pre-op because post op he started consuming whole boxes of chocolate at once!! You know that kind of eating will give your weight a big boost post op or non op! )
If you think you've cheated or fallen off the wagon or whatever, just dust yourself off, pick yourself up, and get back on track from your next meal. It's as simple as that, and as long as you can do that, you'll do fine.
